Yuki has a singleton puppy! She is 9 days old and very healthy. We have decided to look for a home for her. As many of you may know Bernie has had a hard time breeding due to his pronounced English structure. He was actually not able to tie with Yuki either, but was able to have one puppy with her. Bernie has excellent bloodlines and is very good looking with a loving temperament, but this will be his final puppy. We have brought in a new stud and placed Bernie in a good home because he has missed so many opportunities to have litters and this last attempt resulted in a singleton puppy.
We are excited to see her grow up, she will be beautiful! She will get lots of attention and socialization this summer.

We are excited to introduce a new Blue Ridge Buddies member! Lily is an AKC Labrador with an American build and a loving temperament. We may have some black (and maybe yellow) puppies on the way! She has a strong pedigree with several master hunters and field champions 3 generations up.

We are searching for a new home for our Bernie. Keep reading for details and updates from Blue Ridge Buddies...

Bernie has been such a good boy! Unfortunately, it has been very hard for him to successfully mate with my females due to his pronounced English build. English Labradors have a robust structure and are generally shorter which can make it difficult for the males to naturally tie. We were blessed to have two litters with Bernie, but he has attempted many other times and has missed several litters for us. We do not plan to do AI (artificial insemination), and if we plan to get another stud our family has decided we cannot have two intact males on the property with our females.

He is very special to us, and we love him very much, but we won't be able to take good care of him with another male potentially coming in this spring. He is a friendly boy with a sweet temperament--loves all people, kids, and animals (including chickens). Bernie does great roaming our land without a fence. He has a low energy level and isn't a big hiker, but he loves to fetch and play with the ball. He is also crate trained very well. Bernie will make a great family dog!

UTD on all deworming, shots, and preventions.
AKC and UKC registered.

You may be interested in his background... He was imported from Ukraine and his pedigree contains many show champions and grand champions (including both of his parents) from various countries.
