Hello friends! 🙂 i just wanted to check in because of the holiday. 🎆i know humans have a lot of fun today, but this can be a really tough day if you’re a dog. 😫 (this will probably be going on for the remainder of the week as well!) so here’s some tips from Cic Pet Sits 🩷 - make sure you exercise your dog bright and early. BEFORE dark would be best. that way your dog is nice and tuckered out before the fireworks start. keeping them inside is key. - if you typically don’t leash your dog when going potty outside, today would be a good day to do so. (just incase) 🫢 - create a safe space for dogs that struggle with anxiety during these times. wether that would be a crate with a blankie over it, or in a bedroom with the curtains shut. - we like to leave the tv on for dogs and have it a bit louder than usual to block out the noise. we simply turn on youtube, type in Bluey or Phineas and Ferb, and play the LIVE feed. that way it won’t shut off if you do leave your house for a bit.
