Came home to a nice surprise this weekend, my 1.1 of redfoot tortoises I’ve been trying to breed for a bit now dropped 4 eggs for me! First time breeding tortoises so here goes nothing, hopefully see some babies in a few months

Well this is hopefully the saddest post I ever have to make on this page, today I came home to find that my dumerils boa rosie passed away, at 30 lbs, almost 8 1/2 feet and over 50 years old she was an absolutely remarkable animal, although I’d gotten to work with larger snakes before she was the first large species/ snake I ever got to own personally, she won’t be forgotten nor will the lessons I learned through her, she left a soft spot in my heart for the species and a need for more, rest in peace rosie girl ❤️

Still need the plants to grow in some but I’d say blinkin’s much happier in her new 18x18x36 than she was in a tub in the snake rack, such an amazing species for a display animal

Always been a sucker for carpets and always will be, need more asap😂 this is one of the first snake species i fell in love with and I’m beyond excited to have a chance at breeding them this year

Not often I take her out due to her age but god do I love this snake, dumerils boas are always going to be a top tier species in my mind and I can honestly say I don’t think there will ever be a period of time I won’t have one after her 🐍

Dasypeltis Gansi (gans egg eating snake) doing its defensive display, the sound in the video isn’t it hissing but it’s scales rubbing together as it moves it body, super cool to have gotten to see in person (Sidenote this species is completely harmless and was friendly as usual once I picked it up, it just didn’t like that I was taking it’s cup of leftover quail egg from it)
