On behalf of the Barczyk family and our entire team at The Reptarium, it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian Barczyk.

More than the guiding light of our organization, Brian's fervent passion for reptiles and wildlife, along with his steadfast dedication to education, has touched innumerable hearts and minds globally.

Our deepest sympathies are with Brian's family, his friends, and all those whose lives he has touched. We've lost an exceptional individual – a visionary, mentor, and friend. For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian's absence leaves an immeasurable void.
As we navigate this difficult time, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting light of Brian's work. He will be deeply missed but indeed, never forgotten.

The Barczyk family invites you to join us for a Public Memorial Walk-through to honor Brian’s memory. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Heritage Church, located at 44625 Schoenherr Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313 from 1-3pm.

Well we have been busy 🤭 we are over the moon to finally announce we have another member of the hut brewing, We are sorry for how quiet we have been, Turns out the first few months of creating this small human have been very time consuming, But this little cadet will no doubt jump into the reptile world just like their mammy and daddy did 💚 remember stay safe out there we love you and we cant wait to bring you along on our next chapter of our journey 🐍🐍🐍

This is a all ages page so im going to word this very very carefully as we pride ourselfs on making sure everyone of all ages can read and see our content,

We are a reptile rescue! That means the only feelings we care about, in the physical sense, are the animals intrusted in our care, if you have been told no you dont get one of our animals that dose not mean we dont like you that means we do not belive you have tha ability or capability to look after a animal right now and in that it also means we will inform all the other rescues, breeders and shops we know not to give you an animal, that is because we care more about the animals than your delicate feelings, we send them everything your facebook photo your name and if possible your phone number we are NOT sorry,

We love when people say to us its easier to get a fake passport than rehome an animal from us we are picky and we care alot,

Our animals always come first you want to talk the nasty about us say we are difficult you do that its just showing the other people in the NE that we really do care about the welfare and saftey of our animals,

Everyone who has rehomed from us will tell you its not easy and you have to be one of those rare magical humans who p**p rainbows, toot glitter and would skip meals to make sure your pet gets fed first and Im proud to say that everyone who has rehomed fits that description to a tee,

We are marmite you love us or hate us we dont care, but one thing everyone can say is we love our animals past, present and future more than we love cheese here and we will never change for anyone,

So anyone who has rehomed from us, we love you like family, we have entrusted you with a peice of our heart and we know you will protect and love them with all of yours, your heros in our eyes and you rock!

Charmander was a very happy monitor today having a lovely swim in the bath but after i asked him if he would like a little walk around the room before dinner he gave me this look, it screams "just because you joined the gym mother dose not mean I want to" 😂 this is hands down my laziest reptile...... until his dinner is jumping about that is then he is the Usain bolt of the reptile world 🐍🐍🐍

This is the post I never wanted to write,

As a small reptile rescue we completely rely on donations and rehomes to keep us going, we are at full capacity and we are going under, we are currently working now on divert,

we are lucky enough to have met, help and work alongside alot of other amazing rescues and not forgetting you fellow animal lovers opening up your homes for for a rescue animal from us and the other rescues here in the UK,

But now we are in a hole that feels like we will never get out of, and instead of continuing and potentially not being able to give future animals the best lives while they are with us we have to say no to any more coming in,

we will still help you find homes for your animals if we can and we will point you in the direction of other rescues if they have the space to take them, please remember we are all struggling at this moment in time, but we can not take them in at the moment, we are working hard to get the funds together to keep us going but it seems like its going to be an impossible task,

We are hopeful to say we will not be closed forever we will come back and we will help more reptiles in the future,

Right now we have to focus on the animals we have at the rescue and we are super happy to say our amazing foster hoomans have already said their foster friends are family now ❤

We will be back, but until then please follow along on our animals in sanctuary journey and keep cheering us on and supporting us in whatever way you can, we really do appreciate it and we will come back bigger and better in the future,

Well this is molly looking beautiful after her bath, enjoying my huge smile getting cuddles from this gentle giant, even the man of the hut got some molly loves (he is the one with the dark beard) and a huge thank you to Hayden for helping me move this girl around, with having a owchie sholder Hayden was an absolute gift from the gods today, please enjoy my huge grin, molly being held like a baby and her close up with Jake, stay safe out there 🐍🐍🐍

Its cleaning day here at the hut, and my golly Im sick 😂 3 done now 4 to go and im ready for a nap....once I can pinch one of our experienced volunteers we can get the giants cleaned out and ofcorse get you guys some amazing photos of us being man handled by Molly and Astrid, lets just hope Big Mama dosent end up being p**ped on again or gets turned into a chew toy 🤞 who is exited to see these big girls in all their glory? 🐍🐍🐍

Well its happened again valentines day is coming and its also feeding day!!!

Soooo in the spirit of love and all that who wants to name a feeder after their ex again this year!!! We loved our messages from you last time cheering on the snakes, we can also do some locust exs for charmander and he will definitely put on a show for you ❤
