Week 2! Their eyes are open and they are starting to move around. Two-week-old puppies begin their transitional phase. This is an exciting phase. At two weeks old, puppies eyes open, they are more alert, and try to stand on their own. Two-week-old puppies are still deaf and mostly dependent on their sense of smell to get around. However, these fur babies will quickly gain independence with a little help from their mother and siblings. In this next week they will be able to hear and we will be introducing them to new sounds.

Thank you for this and for allowing me to share a little piece of your story here/in college essay form, Emma. It’s beautiful how these fur babies truly do teach us so many life lessons. It’s evident how much you (your family) love your puppies and we couldn’t be more grateful that your family chose us to get not one, two, but soon to be four of our puppies to be part of your sweet family! It all started with that one question… “Can we get a dog?” We pray God will bless you and direct you as you pursue the possibility of vet school this fall. I think you will make an amazing vet!! ❤️🐶

Not puppy related but always relevant.

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough, and we'll be more content when they are.

After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage.We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our partner gets his or her act together when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice holiday, when we retire.

The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?

Your life will always be filled with challenges.

It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."

A quote from Alfred D. Souza

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. With God all things ARE possible.

So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time...and remember that time waits for no one.

So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Work like you don't need money,

Love like you've never been hurt,

And dance like no one's watching

The puppies are 3 wks!! We completed the Early neurological stimulation and early scent introduction. They did A-mazing!! This week the puppies will continue gaining more strength. At this stage, they will start to stand, walk, and sit without falling over. As well as this, a three week old puppy’s teeth will begin to come through, with the incisors appearing first. With this rapid increase in function, puppies can begin to socialize with each other and their mother. Puppies begin to learn that they are dogs and start to explore the world around them. During this time, it’s crucial that the puppies are kept primarily with their mother and siblings. As well as this, puppies have little fear at this age. Over the next couple weeks we will be introducing them to new sights and sounds to develop their startle and recovery response. Resulting in a much calmer, less anxious, happy dog. #shihpoos #preciouspuppies #puppycare #calmpuppytraining

Happy 5 wks sweet babies! These puppies have had a week of many firsts. Potty and crate training, eating foodies, meeting new friends, exposure to new sights and sounds and they are rocking it. I am amazed at how intelligent the golden doodle breed is!
