Rest in peace, my precious Leeloo.
I haven't posted about what had been going on with her because I have been too focused on helping her as much as I can. She had a virus which caused her lamenss and amputation. She never really recovered from it. It went neurological over the last week. Erik and I are so grateful to have had her in our lives, no matter how short that time may have been. Being a part of her story was invaluable. Thank you to everyone who has been so lovingly supportive of our Leeloo, no matter how short her story may have been. Leeloo, we love you, baby girl. Thank you for choosing us to be your family. (her cat family rallied around her as she passed. It was beautifully bittersweet.)

This morning I have successfully attacked a houseplant, tried to gnaw my dad's ear off, rolled around like a little nutjob, fell off a bed--twice, successfully lept 5 feet from the coffee table to the pool table, ate like a pig, and helped mom wake my sisters up. I think this calls for a nap!

Someone is just not feeling good today. She has an appointment at noon tomorrow to get her staples out, and today she broke out in a little fever...undoubtedly an URI due to being in a shelter and all of the stress of her amputation. Poor little immune system, and poor little Leeloo. So today, she rests, and hydrates.
