Grit is homozygous for both the silver and black genes, ensuring that every foal he sires inherits the stunning silver gene and black based with no red gene. When paired with a black mare, Grit produces those coveted chocolate or silver Grulla foals we all adore.
Additionally, Grit’s striking dun gene enhances the silver Grulla offspring with distinctive features, such as a dorsal stripe and leg barring. (Because of his double silver gene, no mares that carry the silver gene will be accepted).

Rocko (RBSF Cowboys Spring Fling) is a 9 month old registered Rocky Mountain silver Grullo stud c**t as sweet as they come. He has been handled since birth and loves to please. He follows my cues and leads well, stands for farrier, grooming, and loads in and out of trailer like a pro already. He has the stunning dun/Grulla markings and is Homozygous black/Heterozygous silver. Rocko has been naturally gaiting since birth. His dam is MCF Winddancer and his sire is PGF Cowboys Git R Dun (Grit). We ride both his dam and sire and they have that smooth gait and gentle disposition we here at Rockin Bar S Farm raise.

Congratulations to Julia & Jon Patten on their new addition to their Rocky Mountain Horse family. RBSF Cowboys Pot of Gold (Nugget), a silver Grullo, out of PGF Cowboys Git R Dun and RBSF Hurricane Dixie journeyed to New Mexico where he got to meet his new family and settled in like he has lived there for months. He is an exceptional horse and we are excited for Julia, Jon and Nugget. Congratulations!!
