We just about survived the storm, a sleepless night and some damage to fencing, pathways, one of the ducks houses, the pigs metal arc took off 😳 and the poly tunnel again! All the animals were fine which is the main worry, everything else can be repaired! Hopefully with only a few hours left it wont be too costly!

Stables complete! Just before dark the Boers settled into their new homes. This was such a big project and we are so lucky to have had help from so many amazing people who generously gave up their time to give these animals their well deserved new homes. “Thank you to everyone who contributed to building the stables at the sanctuary. Your support and hard work have made a huge difference, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

Duck update: the enclosure is up, the ducks are safe from foxes, they have cosy warm houses inside a wire enclosure, surrounded by electric fencing! Just tidying up to complete with pathways and planting and then the pond! This is them having an afternoon nap.

Everyone was hungry, still sweeping to be done, the place is a building site and this lot decided to run off! Their new enclosure can’t come soon enough! 😂 #loveducks #stopschoolshatchingbirds
