We had a worrying time with Wren 💜…
…Christmas Day she took off chasing Ava who had spotted a cat 🐱. Unfortunately Wren ran across a cattle grid, lost her footing & flipped 😬. She literally didn’t ‘see’ the grid.
When she arrived home she was very sorry for herself…cut to the leg & limping😞🐾…poor girl.
One of the only occasions where I’ve had to use my first aid skills…was I glad I’d had the training 👌🏼.
Fortunately nothing broken so she was then placed on rest for several days. Gradually her mobility returned to a more normal Wren.
The main ‘casualty’ was her tracker - which lost its casing & collar attachment 😬. It could have been SO much worse.

Moral of this tale:
Be wary of your dogs around cattle grids (I wasn’t with her at the time) as they can be so dangerous 😕🐾.

Our Story

I have had a love of dogs for longer than I care to remember! From our first family dog when I was a child to those I share my life with now...they all have a special place in my heart. Building relationships with dogs is a great passion of mine.

I enjoy training dogs, getting to know their quirky characteristics and working with them to build a special bond. Our current three; Leila the Chocolate Lab, Ness the Blue & Tan Border Terrier and our youngest, Ted the Apricot Cockapoo have all trained with me to a Kennel Club Good Citizen Gold Level standard. Currently I most enjoy agility training with our youngest, Ted. I have been involved in agility since January 2016 and this year I have tentatively entered the world of competing which we both find greatly rewarding.

Even if it is a little tiring at times.

Over the years I have gained experience with many breeds having been involved in the past with assisting at a local training club and most recently volunteering at a local dog creche over the summer. This has furthered my confidence around a variety of breeds and allowed me to develop a better understanding of canine communication. There’s nothing I love more than spending time with our ‘pack’; enjoying waggy-walks, coastal cottages and rural retreats.
