Our very nice farrier, Dylan Hebb Farrier Service has come and gone and 20 mins and we're all trimmed up for another 8 weeks. We like how calm and quick he is. Even if we don't like people messing with our feet.. a little bit of maple fudge makes it ok

Oh my but do I hate horse flies and deer flies, mean buggers. Nearly had a panic attak out with the dogs. Poor Grace was covered in them this evening, apparently Ultra Fly Spray does not last two weeks... but it was at least good for a week maybe?

Gave her a good wipe down, and she should have a more comfortable evening. She's certainly more amenable to being wiped down than she was ... she's such a sweet girl, even let me gently do her face.

So for the moment we have the one covered shelter, and an acre meadow next to the house sharing a fence line with the ch...

So for the moment we have the one covered shelter, and an acre meadow next to the house sharing a fence line with the chickens.

We're expanding that to give her better access to the chicken meadow, and the grass meadows up the other side of the chicken yard and up the old orchard meadow.
