Sunday was a fantastic day for our Mystic Market…warm and sunny and full of happy faces!

A big hello from the Sisters of Elderwood Grove 👋 With this years’ Mystic Markets fast approaching, we thought it would be a great time to reintroduce ourselves!

Our Mystic Markets fall under a joint sibling venture, The Sisters of Elderwood Grove. We are a sister duo that came together to host magical events & workshops, teach others intuitive practices & self-sustainability, & build community in the Kawarthas area that showcases local, enchanting businesses.

Growing up with Romani & Celtic heritage, we learned to embrace a way of life that is a bit unconventional with a focus on herbalism, a oneness with nature, divination, & magical practices. This translated into our own individual businesses! Courtney is a wildcrafting herbalist, healer, animal whisperer & owner of Elderwood Farm & Animal Sanctuary (). Arwyne Eve is a psychic medium & healer, spiritual life coach, artist & owner of The Scrying Witch ().

Our markets are boutique style, giving us the opportunity to build close connections with our vendors & patrons alike. We perform extensive energy work on the farm land & market environment to make for magical adventures & memories you can feel! We strive to make lasting personal experiences by bringing others into our way of life, encountering furry friends & seeing all the talent the area has to offer.

Our vendors matter to us & being entrepreneurs ourselves, we aim to keep costs affordable during these economically challenging times. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, so we keep our fees low with a large portion donated back to caring for our growing furry family at the farm!

We look forward to sharing magical encounters with you all this year!

Welcome our newest rescue to the farm Miss Dutchie 🍩 . Our beautiful girl is a 10 month old Bernice mountain dog crossed with a Great Pyrenees that came to us just over a two months ago from an extreme hoarding situation. She is timid at first but this beautiful girl has a sweet and very funny personality… the more she breaks out of her shell the nuttier she gets lol
She is so full of love and so far is an excellent protector of laps…and the couch 🤣

Join The Sisters of Elderwood Grove on Sunday November 19th in Woodville, Kawarthas for our boutique Holiday Mystic Market! Market hours are 11am-4pm at Elderwood Farm & Animal Sanctuary (475 Farms Road, Woodville, ON).

Winter weather can start early in the area & we wanted to bring you one last mystical day of the craft! And maybe a nice opportunity for some early-bird holiday shopping 🔮

The oil blends myself and my family have used for years upon years finally made their debut at our last Spring market and the reception was overwhelming! The immediate response and the stories to follow truly make my love of these rollers even stronger

The Headache roller is an essential oil blend of Basil, Lavender, Peppermint, German Chamomile & Helychrisium blended with Sweet Almond Oil to release & relieve you headaches

Our Anxiety roller is a soothing blend of Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Lavender & Bergamot essential oil blended with Sweet Almond oil to help calm and ease anxious feelings

Both are restocked and will be available at our Summer Mystic Market next Sunday July 23!

I was lucky enough to catch an incredibly sweet moment…while munching with Misty our sweet boy Amenadiel decided she needed a head nuzzle …then back to munching ❤️

P.s don’t mind the tufts on the end of his horns 😂 the poor boy is still shedding his winter fluff and has built in back scratchers attached to his head so why not use them …but don’t try and take those fluffs from his horns he’s oddly possessive of them 🤣

Grape Shrub!! 🍇
And now you may be thinking “what is this crazy woman talking about!?”
Well my friends this delicious probiotic rich drink was actually the first form of soda and very popular in the 1700’s to early 1800’s

It is incredibly easy to make and because of the apple cider vinegar is completely fine to sit on your counter for days on end…not only that it is so easy to use as you can add it to water as a flavouring, sparkling water, used to make cocktails and mocktails and you can use any fruit or herb combination that you would like!!
The kids love it as it tastes like a fizzy juice but with natural sugars and no additives and it’s a great way to get them involved in creating their own flavour combinations 😊

As mentioned it really is so easy to make as it is just equal parts fruit, honey (I used maple syrup for this one) and Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. I always use the folk method of measuring but to make the recipe easier you can use 1 cup of each.
I would suggest mashing the fruit and herbs first then add your honey (or maple syrup) and ACV, mix well. Then leave to sit on the counter lightly covered with lid till the next day…strain and pour back into the jar…from there you can use to taste in drinks, I normally add around an oz or so to a glass with ice and top with water (as pictured)

Note: if you completely close the lid you will get more fizz and bubbles (as the fermentation process has started) however be careful and open the lid slowly as just like pop it will fizz over on you 😉

Yeees that is correct tea for your plants!! It’s the season to start your seedlings and what better way to give them a healthy start 🌱 I also highly recommend using a plant tea for your indoor plants or any potted plant....living in a potted indoor environment your plants aren’t receiving nutrients they would from being planted directly in the ground (once those original nutrients are gone from the soil there is no other way for your plants to gain additional nutrients) so plant teas help put those nutrients back in the soil and allow your plants to thrive and give back to you 😊 So how do you make a plant tea?
