Is this a lock? It looks a little off to me, but at least they're giving it a go this time. I'm so excited about this pairing, double het to het Clown 50% het Pied plus 4 incomplete dominants. Should be a very fun clutch if they manage to produce one. One of my most anticipated clutches of 2024.

Any African House Snake fans out there? My little Housie is 10 years old now!

This little girl has similar care to my other colubrids (a little warmer), lays two (unfertilized) clutches of eggs per year, and hasn't slowed down one bit yet. I will always say they are a highly underrated species. Very much like a python, but in a smaller, more active package.

What is your preferred method of keeping track of everything? Efficiency is becoming more and more of a priority for me.

Disregarding my old system of labeling with stickers on the shelves (Don't do that, by the way. Terrible idea. Dry erase marker is the way to go.) I have now reached the point where it's just so much easier to use color coded sticky notes to quickly remember who's blue and who's busy with endeavors of loooooove. Depending on my memory has failed me a few times, and constantly checking my records is not the most efficient.

I'll be honest. I'm not 100% sure on this pair. I need a male Asphalt het Clown, and hopefully I can make one here, for a more exciting pairing down the road. Just not sure if that's the best route for her when I could buy my target male pretty inexpensively, and use her for more fun stuff. But I decided not to buy any more snakes for now, so I'm working with what I've got!

I've been wanting to post for a while about the personal impact that Brian has had on my life, and just haven't had the words. Still don't.

When I first started researching corn snake care, SnakeBytesTV was one of the few You Tube channels with entertaining and regular content, and I watched every. single. episode. This channel made keeping snakes seem so much more approachable.

It also introduced me to the huge variety of species available in the hobby. Without Brian, I would not have such a diverse knowledge and interest in reptiles, and possibly would have gotten the corn snake I wanted, and stopped there. Instead, now my life literally revolves around snakes, and that is first and foremost due to his initial impact.

His enthusiasm and willingness to share his knowledge and passion in the face of criticism and what I can only assume was widespread ignorance when he first started, has changed the face of snake keeping for so many of us.

Brian, thank you for your service to our industry/hobby. You will never be forgotten.
