Beyond blessed to be able to come back as an Patuxent alumni and spend the day discussing what I do and how I got here! My story has had many ups and downs as well as many hard months of working 70-90 hours a week while I worked on base and was dog training at the same time! Thankful for the opportunity and for the kids who were so extremely respectful and askibg great questions! Love this community!!!

Had a client reach out that was WAY out of my normal range of operating, but they were in serious need of help. Two different trainers prior getting advise like “that’s dog needs a knuckle sandwich” they were at their wits end with their pup and the trainers. The dog was climbing the leash and non stop attacking the owners. So I drove 2.5 hours to help! After a 2 hour session where we learned how to apply a proper correction, be a consistent leader and proper leash skills these owners were ecstatic! They left feeling confident and excited for their future with Ruby! I was the last resort before this dog was taken back to the breeder! Beyond grateful for the opportunity to help!

For me, it’s all about being able to have them on off leash walks in the woods, swimming and fetching at the beach and hoping to do some kayaking this coming up summer!!

It is such a blessing to be able to get feed back from clients months after lessons ended!

“Many dog trainers train dogs which is a great skill. Nick is a dog trainer who cannot only train dogs but train people as well and that is an invaluable skill. I could write a long review of how Nick helped my dogs and I to form not only a great working relationship but a bond. Instead I will tell a real life event that showcases his abilities in dog training. Today I dropped the ball as a responsible dog owner and let my dogs out in our fenced in backyard for their morning bathroom break. Neither of them had collars on and unbeknownst to me the side gate was open! Needless to say they took full advantage of that and ran out to sniff and play. When I called them to come in and they didn’t come running I knew something was wrong! I noticed the gate, quickly grabbed slip leads , and rushed outside to try and hopefully track them down. Luckily for me they hadn’t gone far, they were still about 500 yards from me. I was able to give them the “here” command and they both immediately stopped running and playing and came high tailing it to me. My dogs are like my children they mean the world to me and without the help of Nick and his training today could have gone much differently. If you put in the work and show up for your dogs I guarantee Nick will guide you and your dog into forming a bond that could very well save your dog’s life one day.”

Echo finished his set of lessons this weekend, he is a pro on the leash, learned tremendous manners with the door and has a recall foundation that will keep him safe and his family from having to chase him around the neighborhood! Great job to him and his family!
