Where my passion stems from...
I fell in love with dogs at a very young age. I adopted my first rescue in 7th grade, a pit bull named Goliath who was used as a bait dog in a fighting ring. Goliath was everything you’d expect in a pit bull: so grateful for a second chance at life, happy as could be, playful, sweet and a total couch potato. He needed plenty of a training when we first brought him home in order to help him trust humans again but through all of the time spent on showing him what life as a dog was really all about, I found my fate without even knowing it just yet. I went off to college planning to get an accounting degree and follow through with a standard 9-5 job. I spent time getting my fix of puppy love while volunteering at a local animal shelter where I was always drawn to the more challenging cases. I worked with them to help make them more adoptable in hopes they’d all get second chances like Goliath did. I couldn’t save them all but I knew from then on that it would be my life’s purpose to at least try. I finished out my business degree and merged that knowledge with my love for training dogs and here we are!
