My ⭐️ Girls 🤎🖤
Boarding💫
Putting your dog into boarding whilst you’re off on your holidays shouldn’t feel like you’re leaving them at borstal for dogs!
The feeling you should get is that they are safe, sound and staying somewhere that is like home from home.
Whilst in our care your dog will get all their needs and requirements met to the highest of standards.
So get in touch with if you need a place for your dog to stay this summer
Treat em like a big dog!!
And by this i mean it is important to correctly socialise and put in place all the rules and boundaries your pup will need to safely navigate their way through the big wide world the moment you get them home.
I mean a 7kg puppy jumping up to say hi is cute but that puppy may turn into 35kg plus bull dozer that’s knocking over your old dear every time she pops in for a cuppa
If this is something you need assistance with get in touch with us
Raining again🌧️?
Don’t let a bit of rain put a halt to your training, remember in real life there will be a number of environmental factors which will be out of our control.
One example of this is the Great British weather which we all know is subject to change at the drop of a hat.
One phrase I hear a lot of is “my dog doesn’t like the rain I can’t get them to go out when it’s rain”
If this is something you struggle with why not take rainy days as a training opportunity to get your dog accustomed to the rain!
3 of a kind 💫
POV. Introducing your work pal to during your lunch break💫
Taking your dog with to all the local dog friendly spots is a privilege I believe all dog owners should be able to experience.
Unfortunately this not the case for everyone but with the right help, patience and consistency it can be.
If this is something you would like to be able to do get in touch with us at today!
RIO💫
Getting in them down stays while he waits on the local bus to nowhere!😅
Rio💫
Meet Rio the bull terrier Like most bull terrier’s young mr Rio is full of beans and hasn’t quite grasped the concept of just doing. So during his two weeks stay with us at we going to teach him the art off chilling whilst getting his basic obedience in order

Havoc💫
This handsome young Doberman owners contacted to help kick start his training journey
Over the next few weeks we will be introducing Havoc to some new behaviours and reinforcing favourable ones he already knows.
Muzzle training💫
There’s a popular belief that only a “dangerous” dog should be conditioned to wearing a muzzle. When In actual fact every dogs training regime should include muzzle training!
There are many reasons why your dog should be accustomed to wearing a muzzle, For instance a simple trip to the vets or groomers can be very traumatic for your dog.
These types of situations can be very stressful for you dog leaving them feeling anxious and nervous which can easily turn into aggression leading into bite.
MONTY💫
This small but feisty fell was brought to for help with his reactivity as it was starting to become a bit of a headache for his owners.
During our session we discussed how best approach situations, good leadership, leash pressure and engagement
Once armed with all the new information Monty’s owners got straight to work with some brilliant results.
TITAN💫
Titans owners came to for help with this big lads reactivity.
With Ttitans owner Already knowing bits about reactivity and what can cause it. We set about pin pointing his specific triggers how we could best remedy them.
It was an pleasure to work with this handsome young dog be sure to keep an eye out for him as there are big plans for him in the not too distant future
RAZOR💫
Razors owners contacted for help with his reactivity.
Weather it’s fear based reactivity or or reactivity built out of frustration walking a dog this size can be quite unpleasant and can often lead to a dog living a restricted life.
Not wanting this for their dog razors owners did the right thing and tacked this problem head on..
Buddy💫
Buddy’s owners came to for help with his loose leash walking and reactivity.
To begin the session we got to work on building his engagement. We then progressed onto fixing his leash walking
Im happy to say both buddy and his owners smashed their session..

RECALL PROOFING💫
Like so many dogs up and down the uk, One of my own dogs would never have been able to enjoy the privilege of being off lead in an unsecured public place without the assistance of an e collar.
Not because she’s a dangerous dog or has no recall, simply because she was blessed with a very high prey drive and what we could say is very little common sense and no fear.
With all 3 of these factors put together not only was she a risk to livestock, wildlife and even bike riders. She was a danger to herself often willing to chase prey anywhere Landing herself in sticky situations more than once.
No tool is a quick fix and any tool can be abused. But used correctly this tools can be life changing for both you and your dog.
CRATE PLAN💫
Toilet training a new addition can be either a walk in the park or a complete nightmare!
With that being said there are few different ways that you can make the journey run smoother
One of those ways is to pair the crate and toilet training together.
Putting the two together has a few benefits one the big ones being routine.
As we know young dogs thrive on routine and structure and sleep by creating a toilet plan with your crate all three of theses key elements can be Implemented
#
LIGHT IS THE TASK WHEN MANY SHARE THE TOIL💫
In other words putting together a training plan that the whole family can adhere can benefit your dog many ways.
Firstly having every body on the same page when it comes to training is important as it can help stop confusion as all party’s will no exactly what stage the dog is at.
Also One of the great things about getting the whole family involved is it gives you the opportunity to teach younger members of the family how to behave around your dog, Allowing you to put boundaries in and showing them the right and wrong way to approach. Not to mention your are also equipping them with life long skills.
Having friends get involved can really help with levelling up the intensity of your dogs training for instance they could act as the distraction whilst practicing your sit stays, down stays and even recall
SPOT💫
Today Spot starts his residential training here at
Spot has come in to get his basic obedience in order and sort out his aggression around food.
Check back to keep upto date With this boys progress
BEAU & BLEU💫
Also known as Bonnies&Clyde are boarding with us this week while their owner is away
Today we went down to to watch the sky divers do their thing whilst there we got a little practice in on how to behave in and around crowds and I’m pleased to say they did well.
LOW VALUE💫
Ever wondered why your dog would rather chew your favourite shoe then play with their readily available box of toys?
Well believe it or not for that very reason, because they are readily available at all times.
Giving your dog access to their toys at all times can significantly decrease the value they place upon them.
One way to increase the value your dog places on its toys is to remove the toys and place them out of reach when your dog isn’t playing with them and getting them out periodically.
THE ART OF DOING NOTHING💫
Can your dog switch off outside of the house?
Teaching your dog to do nothing is just as important as teaching them to do something.
This is one behaviour that tends to be overlooked but is one of the key components to your dog living a full life this summer.
ZEUS💫
Zeus’s owners came to for help with building his engagement and loose lead walking.
After going through the fundamentals we put Zeus to work with good results this boys got a bright future ahead of him.
Check back to see how he progresses through his training.
Happy new year from the I.S.K team
May this year be a prosperous one 🎆

*WARNING* Video contains a happy dog wearing an e collar enjoying lots of off lead time… Some of you may have been told e collars are cruel relationships ruining endless trauma causing dog training tools of mass destruction. Which is far from the truth. Yes like anything in life e collars can be used for the wrong reasons but that doesn’t meant the the piece of equipment is bad. In a situation like this where countless dog owners and dogs have been given a second chance at living a free and happy life, It seems sad that the ignorance of a few will take this away for them and the thousands of dogs in the future that would benefit from e collar. #ecollar #ecollartraining #dogtraining #dogtrainer #dogtrainerbirmingham #dogtrainingadvice #minibullterrier #minibull #minibullterriersofinstagram
