I was referred to High Desert Dog Training and Karen Kibbe, by my neighbor who had a super well behaved, one year old, doodle dog. My mini Goldendoodle , Bella Rose, at 3 years old was very, very friendly. Actually, she was too friendly, jumping on people and wanting to run up to other animals. I had successfully trained many dogs over the past thirty-something years, including 3 Certified Therapy Dogs, however, no matter how hard I tried, Bella wanted to do what she wanted to do.

Thank you Cindy and Bella’s for the awesome review… So I contacted Karen Kibbe. Bella attended a month long Board and Train. It was worth every penny I paid. Bella Rose is no longer reactive, sits when I ask- not just when she wants or I give a treat, and she is learning place!!! Yesterday, I had a repairman come to the house, she obeyed when I told her down and she went to her place when I asked and stayed there. The repairman commented on how well behaved Bella was and of course, I had to tell him all about Karen and High Desert Dog Training.

Currently, Bella is keeping her skills sharp with some day training and group classes. I love, love, love Karen!!! And more importantly Bella Rose loves Karen very, very much!!!

Welcome Ruby to HDDT, she’s here for a 4week puppy program. Her owners were seeing some very typical herding behaviors that are very common with a Cattle dog, Kelpie, Border collie cross. They are getting early training and will take her to in Gardnerville to allow her to do what she was made to do… HERD.. She’s sweet as pie and eill@be an easy one to train.

I cannot recommend Karen at High Desert Dog Training enough! I brought my nine-month-old Goldendoodle, Loo, to her for a two-week board-and-train program with a specific focus on recall obedience. Karen did a fantastic job with Loo, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Thank you Joe and Willow for the amazing Review… Karen and her assistant were very helpful in getting our rescue dog trained and teaching us how to apply and manage the commands our dog learned. We had our dog with her for a month and she learned confidence, how to leash walk without pulling, how to be off leash with e-collar, sit/down and recall on command, proper doorway manners, whining, jumping up, resource guarding, nipping when putting leash on and socialized with other dogs who had also learned these things. They show dog owners how to be better leaders their dogs need.would recommend highly.

I am so happy to be writing this review for High Desert Dog Training. Karen & her team have quickly become our puppy hero’s. We brought home a Bernedoodle puppy. As he continued to mature in our care we started seeing some personality traits that were hugely concerning to us. He was barking so much, starting to play aggressively with other dogs and wouldn’t allow the groomer to properly groom him (a super important monthly part of his extremely furry life).

We didn’t know how to handle these behaviors, we were just at a loss, and nervous that our cute puppy was turning into a badly behaved teenage dog. Karen was referred to us and after our first conversation- we knew we needed her help.

Our puppy just returned home after 3 weeks at High Desert. We are shocked at the changes in his behavior . He learned so much in his time at High Desert. We’ve had a few private sessions with Karen & attended a group training as well. I’m not kidding, when I say this incredible Trainer knows her stuff! We are so thankful to Karen & her team for taking our pup under their wings and teaching him (and us) the skills required to be a great dog. WE ARE CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE!
