Today is my birthday, sort of. Two years ago today my human family (Patty Curtiss, Kevin Curtiss, Robert Curtiss, and Rachel Fletcher) drove to another state where I was being fostered by Kristen and her family. They took me home that same day, and it has been a whirlwind ever since. They love me so much, and I must say that's very easy to understand, as I am very important. I was about one year old at the time. I hope they know how much I love them too.
Yay! My mommy called Dr. Christine this week and told her that the spot near my nose is healing a bit. Dr. Christine said that if it goes away within a month then I don't have to have a biopsy, whatever that is. Mommy was very happy, but that's probably because I'm too important to have anything wrong. Hmmm...though...I do like going bye-bye in the car.....
My humans took me to see Dr. Christine for my regular checkup. They want to make sure all is well with me because I'm so very important. She took plenty of time with me, especially while looking at a lump right below my nose. I have medicine for it and she will call my mommy next week to ask how it is. I'm sure she's very concerned due to how important I am. She mentioned the words 'tumor' and 'biopsy,' but I'm sure that I'm too important to have anything really wrong with me.
Hmmm....my humans brought that baby Coal into the home. I heard he bit our mommy last night. I just need to point out that *I* did not bite our mommy....
So, my family brought home a baby hedgie named Coal. I don't know what to think of him yet. My family tells me that they still love me just as much. I don't really care, as long as I still get what I want, including my nightly snacks.

When I joined our family I knew that they really needed me right then. Now Coal needs all of our help. He needs our forever home. He's young but has lived in several places. Daddy, Mommy, and I are binge-watching NCIS together. I'm sitting on Mommy's lap, all curled up in a ball. Mommy gave me some yummy kitty treats. She says they are stinky, but I find them to be delicious. My mommy says I've p**ped more today than ever before. She even found the one I sent down her jammy top...she's good! Anyway, I'm so happy to be with my family at Christmas. Bob is so wonderful to me. He really seems to understand me. I'm so thankful for the Hedgehog Welfare Society for finding my Curtiss family. They really need me. Merry Christmas everyone!
My mommy says I'm a cute little boy.
Last night I played on my mommy again. She had me in her lap inside one of my really soft bags that her friend makes just for me (I must be really special!). Even though the light was on I came out so she could give me a backrub. It felt so good! I think my family really loves me, but who knows why? I'm pretty much a jerk about 100% of the time. She tells me that I am a good distraction from her chronic pain. I'm glad I can help that way. I really do think she loves me. Oh, she also gives me yummy treats.
On Saturday night I was resting on my mommy. I wandered all over her! She was very nice about it, and said she really liked my whistling. I climbed up and down. We played and we played! I did p**p and p*e on her, but she said, 'that happens,' and she wasn't upset with me. I had a very good time, and really, isn't that what's most important here?
My mommy says I'm cute. Of course I am! I'm very important.
My mommy says I'm a naughty boy. She gave me 2 tiny bites of ham. They were so yummy! When she wasn't looking I stole some extra ham. Ooooo!!! I munched and snacked until she saw what I had done and took away what was left. She told me I would have a sore tummy and boy was she right! I don't ever want to feel like that again.
My mommy found out that I like tiny bites of ham. Yum!
My mommy says I'm a big ball of NOPE!
Last night my mommy and I cuddled for a long time. She turned off the overhead light and we played and played! It was such fun! Then she put me on her shoulder so I could enjoy her perfume. Later I let her give me lots of kisses, but only through the fleece. That should satisfy her.
My mommy is very impressed with my home remodeling skills. Last night I relocated my igloo up and into my litter tray, and forced it into place alongside my wheel. I also incorporated a bag made by Miss Anita. I did all this and managed to run on my wheel and create a big p**py mess.

My mommy says she's going to get me soon and will put me on her lap to watch the Oscars. She told me that last year she and Prick-lee did this right before they found out he had cancer. They must have really loved Prick-lee. I'm glad they're my family now. I think it helps them to be a little less sad. I do love them; I just don't show it very well.
my mommy just gave me a bath and nail trim. I was a very good boy. She is cuddling me in a soft towel. I'm trying to climb up to her neck so I can lick her yummy perfume. I'm very important to her.
My mommy thinks I'm amazing. She saw that I rearranged my house by moving my litter tray to the other end of my house and turning it sideways so it would fit just right. I think I'm pretty fascinating myself!
My mommy came home!! My mommy came home!! I thought she left forever but she came home!! To welcome her back I managed to nibble on her a little; it's clearly her fault for wearing the nicest lotion. At least I'm too important for her to get mad at me...I think...I hope...
My mommy held me in her lap tonight for more than an hour! She turned off the overhead light and I let her pet my back. She seemed so happy just because I laid down my quills. She's a silly mommy; if she turns off the light more I'll let her do that more. I love my humans.

My daddy is holding me right now. I'm trying to walk backward but he won't let me; something about not wanting me to fall. I'm fine! He's a silly daddy. I'm too important to get hurt. Why doesn't he understand that?
My mommy says I am a grumpy boy. She couldn't be more wrong. I'm just angry and let everyone in on that little secret. Wait...what does grumpy mean again?
I'm on my mommy's shoulder and I'm so comfy. Whenever I need to calm down I get on her shoulder. She makes me feel so good. Bob took good care of me while Mommy and Daddy were away for the weekend. I'm very important so he stayed home with me.
I bit my mommy for the second time. She had tasty lip balm on her finger, and I just couldn't help myself. Now we are cuddling and rocking. I think she knows I'm sorry. Mommy, I'm sorry.
I love floating on my back during my bath. See? I'm almost smiling!
My mommy was so happy the other day. She was holding me and rocking, which is one of my fave things to do. I noticed she had on some nice perfume, so I licked several inches of her arm. She's so weird; for some reason she really liked it. I anointed three times. I might try that again.
Last night my mommy gave me a bath. She figured out that I really like to float on my back!! She clipped one of my nails too short so I bled for a while. I intend to never let her forget it. She should be more careful with a hedgeman as important as I am. She'll live to regret this. In fact, she already does.
Last night my mommy and i relaxed together for hours! I tested her by p**ping on her twice, but she just cleaned it up and went back to trying to snuggle. I didn't make it easy. After a while i must have fallen asleep; i think the backrub did it. I didn't mean to relax, but Mommy has this way about her......
For some reason my humans are excited that i drank plenty of water from my bowl overnight. I can't help but wonder how they'll react when I do something REALLY magnificent. They're such simple people and easy to please.
Tonight I'm sitting in my daddy's lap. He's rubbing my back and it feels good, but I won't tell him. I want him to think I'm just tolerating it. After all, isn't that how all important beings behave?
My mommy and daddy have returned from TN. I'm not sure how I feel about that. My Bob has been so good to me in spite of my grumpiness. He understands that I'm too important for him to leave me.
Yesterday i met our friend Betty Erickson. She's really nice and not afraid to pet me even when i have my quills up. Later my mommy laid me on her tummy and petted me until i fell asleep. I think my humans love me. They really should; I'm very important.

Hello - I'm Kikas and I got to the Curtiss family home just in time. They really need me. After they lost Prick-lee they were very sad. I know that they still miss him, but that they love me too. I'm one year old and I'm also a rescue hedgie, just like Prick-lee was. I get to have the same vet, Dr. Christine. She likes the grumpy men, so I know she's just going to love me. I'm sure you all can't wait to get to know me; I'm very important.
