Solar Shed complete! This will house some of our smaller animals, feed, supplies, etc. Over a couple days we dug the foundation, poured 1800lbs of concrete, and learned a few things! The solar aspect will power ventilation fans and lights for the animals inside.

Healthy and happy hives! Last year we began leveraging technology from Ukraine. In each hive is a ‘hive heart’ that monitors temp, humidity, and frequency. This enables us to go into the hives and disturb the bees less often. Also, this year we are doing an exclusive with Local Pig for our honey comb. So if you loved or missed our honey comb last year, keep up with Local Pig, we’ll be bringing our stock there ASAP!

Spring update!

Hive inspections went great yesterday. Both hives have healthy laying queens. One hive is over 50,000 strong and I estimate the second to be at about 30,000. Honey soon!

If you liked last year’s honeycomb we have an exclusive this year with our friends at Local Pig. They will be carrying our honey comb harvest this summer. They also sell our quail eggs and rabbit meat. So look for those items too.

Everything will be sold and paid for though an online platform this year. It’s the future!

Garden is well watered like just about everything in the metro. Hoping for some warm weather ahead.

Take some time this weekend for nature and self-care. Eat well and thanks for supporting local.
