the Garlic is READY!!!! LIKE READY READY!!!
This rain isn't letting up, so its time to pull it. when the last 3 leaves of the garlic has turned brown, that's when you're supposed to harvest. that's what becomes the outer skin that protects it while it dries.

Today.. I've officially come in tune with myself and my brain and body are in agreement that we gotta get fine for the summertime.

when I lost weight the first time... 10 or so years ago, I remember I was eating salad every day for lunch and working out mon - Friday at 6pm without fail. I don't know how this is gonna work in my 40's but were gonna try!
oh yea, I have a hack for growing lettuce in here too!

ok! happy Sunday! i want to share with you all my propagation experiments! I'm growing sweet potato slips and a sage plant from cuttings and HERE WE ARE!!! Both of these are a success!! my Thyme experiment failed, so I gotta try that one again. but yes! winning!!

The Garlic is planted!
I'm in Maryland, zone 7b and it's recommended that right before frost is the best time to plant your garlic.

You want to plant each clove 2-3 inches deep, 4-6 inches apart. I prepared my soil by adding bone meal, blood meal, and pot ash a few days ago and mixed it up really good. I'll add some more blood meal (nitrogen) in a few weeks before I cover the space with mulch.

My Jamaican Sorrel has finally forming its calyx!!!! imma get a harvest this year!!!

no lie, I was kinda worried that the weather would get cold too fast.

info break! Jamaican Sorrel (roselle hibiscus) is rich in antioxidants, fiber, vitamin C, and magnesium. Great for boosting your immune system & fighting off cooties!

An Experience I recently Had in the Garden... Livy took great joy in laughing at me inhaling bread & water.

I effed around and found out

I tried eating one of the peppers off the bush - cause it wasn't fully ripe yet,

that BISH IS HAWT!!!

I ate it like a G tho... & then a couple minutes later, my stomach was like "the fawk was that?!?" and then my tongue was like "GIMMIE ICE"

I let a cold tomato sit on my tongue to calm the burn...

Saffron update!!! the Saffron has started to emerge!!!

Passion fruit has decided that now is it's time to shine & we've got a baby tromboncino!!! so glad the sun has decided to join us today. ok.. lemme go get dressed for the day.

Ok, so listen... After Making the hot sauce, I saved the puree & dehydrated it to make a seasoning -

1st lesson: Open the windows before grinding down hot peppers.... I think i've coughed up everything

2nd Lesson: BEST BASE FOR SEASON-ALL EVER!!! (i added some salt, garlic powder, and dried basil & it is DELICIOUS)

so i'm thinking... if i concentrate the type of peppers instead of putting them all into one pot, the flavors of the peppers will "shine" more
OK! hot sauce experiment; a success!
