Adorable male and female African Grey parrots having fun with each other. They are beautiful birds waiting for that loving family that will take them home.
African Grey parrots are famous for their amazing talking ability. These birds are able to remember and mimic hundreds of words. All parrots are cuddly-tame and used to being around small children and busy household. We hand-rear all our baby Greys in small clutches so that each one gets lots of human attention at a very early age to ensure that the parrots are completely tame and easy to handle so they can have a wonderful life with their new mum & dad. All are weaned on seed mix and fresh fruit and veg. I only let my birds go to their new homes when they are able to eat and drink independently and am sure that they are ready for the big move.

New babies ready to meet new families
There are some truly beautiful parrots on the planet, some small and some very large and quite intimidating birds. If you are new to the world of parrots, but are seriously thinking about sharing your home with a feathered friend, there are certain species which are known to be a lot more people-friendly than others, one of which is the lovely and affectionate. African Grey Parrots. These very attractive birds have a reputation for being one of the friendliest parrots around. They love it when you interact with them and they adore being held and even cuddled. Very often African grey don't act like birds at all, but more like dogs. As a bonus, they are very easy to train because they just love to please their human owners.

Hello my fabulous . Hope you’re all safe and starting to enjoy the new normal.
Due to a high demand, today, I’m going to share with you some tips about bathing/showering your bird.
Baths and showers are incredibly important for the wellbeing of your bird. It helps to keep their feathers in great condition but it also helps their respiratory system.
Ok. So here are a few tips:

Try to take your bird in the shower
with you so he can see you’re enjoying it. First try to sit them on top of your shower screen, then gradually move them nearer to get the mist of your shower. If they’ll enjoy it you can then try them in. This is how I’ve done it. .
Place a shallow dish with water at the bottom of their cage. Scatter toys or some greens in it to increase interest. .
Try a misting bottle. Choose a place your bird is comfortable or try different times of the day, but make sure they have enough time to dry. I hate misting sound of the trigger. You can try a bottle you pump up and then it just sprays.
Make it a game and don’t forget to reward every little step. .
Be persistent, patient and try to experiment to find out what is your birds preference. It can take a long time. ❌
Never force your bird to take a shower/bath, train them to like it instead.
Don’t create a negative experience.
Try warmish water rather than cold (That’s my preference😉) but NEVER HOT.
Never blow dry your parrot or use any type of shampoo. .
Bird parents, please share any tips and experiences you have had with bathing/showering your bird. It could be extremely helpful to others.
