The farm got a nice thick blanket of snow this weekend. We stayed cozy inside mostly, tending to the kids who were lucky enough to catch the flu. @ Provo, Utah

First snow happened yesterday. The kids loved it, but I’m ready for fall to stick around a while longer. Saturday was beautiful, so we were able to finish ripping out the rest of the dead vegetation, mulching the leaves that have fallen, and giving the grass one last trim and edge.

Now that the first frost hit, we’ve been busy digging out the dead stuff, and prepping soil for spring. I always love seeing all the worms in our soil! This first photo is a particularly huge one! Just picked everything I needed for a fresh batch of roasted tomato sauce! This is my favorite way to use up all the extra garden tomatoes. I freeze it up, and pull it out all winter long to add fresh garden flavor to any recipe that calls for tomato sauce. This takes tortellini sausage soup to the next level! 😋 @ Provo, Utah
