Entered last minute to the Baltimore & Howard County show this Saturday.
Since we keep our herd small, there aren’t many to show. Especially when the nice ones are fox it’s just a bummer!
I guess this junior fox doe knows it. She is laying down like that and didnt want to pose at all.
So Leah decided to bring a bunch of babies 🤣
The milk mustach hasn’t dried yet but they will hit the road anyways. We will see how it goes.
It’a been so nice the past couple of days.
Doing some spring work; putting fresh soil in the quail coop, making my own seeding soils(bunny approved! LOL) , and planting some veggies and flowers. Of course, there is always a nosey one who interferes with everything you are doing and insists on head rubs ;)

Pooh, as the name indicates, is a very calm and docile buck. He has a well balanced short compact body with great bones.
He has been shown multiple times as a young senior and he was usually placed in the middle of his large class.
His crown is slightly slipped and I wish he had wider brow.
He is a gentle buck and an easy poser. I want to see him go where he can benefit someone.
He will be a great animal for 4H and is offered at a discounted price for 4hers.

Bella got 1st place in SJD (class of 9)
It’s quite impressive that the otter took 1st place after competing against many torts at the big show!
I believe this will be her last show since she is sitting right on the edge of the weight limit. Once she becomes a senior next week, she surely will be over 4lbs due to her beefy body.
Pooh, on the other hand, decided to go molt right before the show💀
It wasn't his day for sure. He was placed somewhat in the middle of the SSB class in Show B.

Reason of rehoming : decided to keep her sister.
Sugar is a very pretty doe who recently finished weaning off her first litter of 5. She did an awesome job raising her babies. I can see the great motherly instincts passed along from her mom Sami.
Sugar has many traits to offer such as a well balanced body, great consistent loins, good bones, nice brow and cute head. That being said, I’m quite amazed how her babies are developing every day. (Im already keeping one of her daughters-the sassy looking broken black otter that loves head butting)
I would definitely keep her if her younger sister Bella- black otter doe from the same pairing- didnt surpass her. Bella is slighlty wider than Sugar. Honesly, that’s the only reason im letting her go.
Currently weighing 3.10lbs but she is still young(just turned 7months) so I expect her to fill up that lovely bod just like her mama Sami.
I would pair her up with a buck with great ears/crown placement. I strongly believe she will produce beautiful babies just like she did for me.

Both seem to only like posing in their cages. Whenever I put my hands on them, they just give me these awkward vibes. Bended limbs, hunched backs and pulled back ears.
But they are still lovely. Or Maybe im just barn blind🤷🏻♀️
A day after heavy rain. The ground is still damp but good enough to stretch legs and zoom around. I love watching them pop like popcorns everywhere and nibble on winter oat grass on flower beds.
I have this broken black otter doe who is quite sassy and funny. I dont know what she wants but whenever we make eye contact, she follows me and headbutts me. So I picked her up and gave a photo time.

I know some of them are late bloomers so I'm trying to give them at least 8+ months or so.
I currently have 14 holes and I like keeping my herd small and tight so that each bun has the best of love and the care that they deserve.

CTL is a small/type buck with a huge head. He is originally from AT’s along with his daughter Cami and SAMI and used to be our herd buck.
We love this goofball so much but we haven’t had much luck breeding him. He is getting old but still acts like a baby enjoying head rubs, outdoor playtime, and being the center of attention.
Also, he is very eager to breed, just hardly makes babies…
He gets along with all my ladies so best option for him will be finding a well loved pet home and go with one of his girlfriends (midge or Sami)
Or you could give him a shot for breeding.
I will be picky where he goes and I wouldn't mind if he stays here as well 🙂
FYI, he needs to have playtime every day and your kisses otherwise, you will see his angry face biting the cage door! (video in comments)

The first WE buck has a big head with nice brow, great bone, and short limbs.
Bella, solid black Otter, is a tank. Love her body, strong loin and ear placement (no slipped crown, yay🤞🏼)
And the last WE boy is tiny! But he is super short and compact!
I love those thick ears even though he has a tight crown. I also adore his sweet personality; a professional cuddler always seeking attention, that reminds me of Twix’s so much.
Well, eventually some have to go but they will be hanging around here for a while longer.

Deep cleaned the carpet, washed water bottles and food bowls, rearranged cages, and did some laundry.
Everyone enjoyed snuggling in the cozy blankets just taken out from the dryer. Freshly cleaned and soooo warm ☺️
Now I just need to fill their hay rack. Today’s serving will be oats hay, timothy and orchard mix🌾
