Today, for the first time, we canceled SAR training as the dew point is dangerously high - well over the danger point of 16 degrees Celsius! Thank you Green Trax for this life saving information. Instead we did equipment training (rexspecs, ear protection and muzzle) and played in the garden with regular hose pipe spray-downs.

This session we did the longest track so far for Dakota - 1.2km, fresh track. Except for losing it once he did very well. Getting our first working dog was accidental, the second (Dakota) intentional. Now I can't imagine not working with dogs. It has been worth all the crazy days, the lessons learned, the trips to Johannesburg for working dog seminars and now with Dakota for SAR training. Without Shadow I would not have met the wonderful people who were there to help us on our journey and who have become some of our closest friends - you know who you are ❣ I love you my special girl
