I was so furious at teddy yesterday when I went out into the hallway and my memorial for my pets that have passed away we’re all over the ground. All the old toys, tags and collars were on the floor. And when I went to tell him no and put him in a room so I could clean up, I saw him holding an old ratty fox toy. He was snuggling with it on his bed. The toy had belonged to Mac, the dog I’d saved before lulu. Mac loved that fox, he would just lay and slowly gnaw off a corner to pull out all the stuffing. And so I stopped myself from being angry and grabbing one of the last reminders of Mac I had left. And instead I let teddy have it, because the memory of my late dogs is alive in all the puppies I rescue in their honor. And I don’t think he’d mind his favorite toy getting used again. Now teddy keeps it on the bed and falls asleep with it, and it’s a reminder of the sweet babies that used to fall fast asleep on my bed.

Teddy graduated from neodog1 and now off to neodog2! He got a Petco llama as a graduation gift!
