A message from the owner:
I grew up with the love of animals, growing up on a hobby farm and taking care of cows, horses, ducks, dogs, cats and the occasional wild baby animal. My dream dog was and has always been a French Bull dog. I was blessed with my dream dog 5 years ago, the runt of the litter and the spunkiest and most feisty of them all, Malibu 🤍
I have wanted to create my own breeding program for a while and Malibu was the start of it. Most recently Malibu had been having some ‘episodes’ that were pretty concerning, and we (along with veterinarians) determined it was due to her elongated soft palate and very narrow nares - this is a very common issue in this breed. I knew she needed surgery to correct her issues and after thinking long and hard we also came to the decision to spay her. She had her surgery(s) last week and is healing very well. She is now retired and will be a very loved pet for the remainder of her life. I will no longer be breeding French Bulldogs and Malibu will be my last Frenchie as I do not believe buying into this breed with these health issues any longer. I am quite upset with where this breed is going and unfortunately there are too many bad apples in this breed. But, I am so thankful I have Malibu and will have her for (hopefully) many more years 🩵
My goal and vision will solely be with Cane Corsos moving forward at this time and we have some great things planned with Thor in the next few years so watch out 👀
