As it warms up, we’re taking extra steps to ensure our dogs are staying cool!

We are:
- rescheduling, shortening and switching some walks to visits
- choosing appropriate walking locations and avoiding pavements
- ensuring all dogs have access to water during these hotter days

Keep an eye out for heat stroke, especially if your dog is flat faced, overweight or an older dog!

❗ Don't forget to update the details if they've changed to avoid any delays in getting your pet safely home. All dogs should be microchipped by eight weeks old.

Please read!!! So important for this weekend!

FIREWORKS… don’t muck about!

💥 Exercise your dog before it gets dark - depending on the dog perhaps a slightly longer walk if they are used to going out in the evening

💥Plan some indoor enrichment - frozen kongs, toy play, chews

💥 Sound proof your house as best as possible. Shut all windows, close blinds/curtains, leave the radio or TV on as background noise (even when you go to bed)

💥Consider the use of pet remedy or adaptil collars and diffusers, thunder shirts.

💥 Keep your dog on lead in the garden until the morning - a spooked dog may jump a fence even if they’ve never tried before.
Also check your garden for firework debris before letting them out in the morning

We’ve all heard it before: Stay safe. Stay indoors!
