Wild Ted Dog Adventures Wild Ted Dog Adventures is run by Elaine Kitchen and makes use of the wonderful, rugged outdoors sur Adventures are varied, safe, and socially stimulating.
(7)

All outings are tailored to your dog’s needs – such as ball-based adventures, socialisation based or training, and command-based – indeed most adventures are a mix of these things (solo walks also available). To ensure the safety and welfare of your dogs, outings only ever have a maximum of 4 dogs and I use a premium, state-of-the-art crate system for transporting your dog. And the best bit? At th

e end of our adventures, all dogs have their feet washed and depending on what the weather throws at us, are wrapped in high wicking towel robes to ensure they are cosy and dry off quickly before getting back home. Food and water are checked upon returning home. Your dog’s happiness and well-being are at the heart of everything I do. My van fully complies with Defra guidelines; it has emergency escape hatches ensuring two ways in and out of every crate, galvanised steel frames, heavy-duty rubber matting which is easy to clean and keep bacteria-free, excellent ventilation with air conditioning and two fans that run independently of the van as well as lockable, individual crates. Wild Ted Dog Adventures is fully insured, DBS checked and dog 1st aid trained. References are readily provided upon request and prior to any adventure commencing, I will come to meet your dog and complete an assessment to make sure that we're a good fit for one another. And finally, a bit about me - after leaving a job in the concrete, corporate world, I set sail to the countryside for a change of pace and got my beloved dog Ted in 2019. Having grown up with dogs and having a family that fostered dogs for various organisations, I could finally have a dog of my own. That’s when Wild Ted Dog Adventures was born, and I was able to follow a passion and a long-time dream of providing your furry friends with an adventure when life gets a bit too busy for you or your dog just needs some extra stimulation. I also offer puppy socialisation and training sessions. Please feel free to message me, call or text to discuss your needs, we can’t wait to welcome you to Wild Ted Dog Adventures.

Ted and his friends are loving the cooler weather we're currently having and the last month has been purple ring month (as modelled by Elmo below)!

It is still ground nesting bird season until the end of July so no adventures on the moors until after then. Please be sure and ask your dog care professional if they stay off the moors during this time as dogs straying even a small distance from the path has a very significant impact on these birds.

Endless adventures under blue sky! Ha, ha well that's what it has felt like this past week. How quickly we forget.

We hope that 2023 is treating you all well. We have enjoyed some brilliant days with our friends so far.

In a largely unregulated industry, Wild Ted Dog Adventures always only has 4 dogs maximum out at any one time as per several leading dog and animal welfare organisations.

Happy New Year everyone! Wild Ted Dog Adventures hope that you all had a very happy Woofmas and New Year. Ted and I certainly did and feel very lucky.

In fact we feel very blessed that 2022 was so much fun and that so many people, particularly in Menston supported us. Thank you to all of Ted's friends, some old and some new. (I still don't understand how Ted is not a star of the stage and screen but...)

Here are some of our favourite pictures and memories.

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2023.

The fun bus is back in action!!! Thank you to everyone who helped and sent their best wishes regarding my van when someone unfortunately ran into the back of me.

There was only Ted in the van at the time but I was very grateful for the crash tested galvanised steel crate system and all the premium safety features to keep the dogs safe which include lockable crates and emergency escape exits for the dogs in every crate...

The happiness, comfort and welfare of my dogs are of paramount importance at Wild Ted Dog Adventures and this confirmed the importance of such safety features to me and why I take such measures so seriously.

Ted and I have had an extremely busy Summer.

We're very happy that ground nesting bird season has finished so that we can now go on the moors again from last week 😊. Needless to say that we take ground nesting bird season very seriously at Wild Ted Dog Adventures.

It's looking like it will be a hot week again this week. Since heat stroke in dogs is a real risk and the safety and welfare of our dogs is paramount at Wild Ted, we will be offering a different and unique range of services when it is too hot to run our usual scheduled adventures.

An epic day today. Ted and I are exhausted.....but in a good way! This morning we ended up with the High Royds crew and it was a big adventure with a lot of wrestling and playing.

In the afternoon, Winnie took control of the ball and showed the boys how its done! Marley, Reggie and Ted couldn't catch her.

All the wild flowers are out and everywhere is very lush and green. This was aided no doubt by the mixture of sun and heavy rain showers today.

Ted has been on a great Wild Ted Dog Adventure today. He loves Yorkshire, especially the coast!

He played with his ball in the sea, went digging on the beach, bird watching on the cliffs and chased his friend Ruby on the sand.

God's own Country has never looked so beautiful in the gorgeous sunshine.

What a beautiful day! The gorgeous Reggie, Freddie and Teddy (and me of course!) have been living the dream today.

After what has been a chilly week at times, the sunshine was very welcome. It might be too soon to pack away the drying doggie coats but our ventilation system has been used a lot recently.

Lots of clients and friends have asked why I'm not sharing more pictures on the old Facebook.

It probably is criminal to hoard so many gorgeous doggy moments but the truth is that I have so many great ones that I can never actually choose which ones to share more widely!

I've been decisive today... :-)

Ted and I are just preparing for another very busy week and are wondering what antics our doggie friends will get up to this week!

Will jumping practicing for the Grand National continue? How many balls will we lose? Is it possible to have even more fun!!? How many new friends will we meet and what will the weather throw at us?

We've been having some really wild and muddy adventures in the past week and our doggy friends have been loving it! Nothing stands in the way of a Wild Ted Dog Adventure, (although precautions were taken and careful routes chosen due to the weather recently); indeed Ted just wants to be outside 24/7 whatever the weather.

Marley has been rolling around in the mud even more than usual and Honey loves nothing more than a great big muddy puddle! Squelchy conditions underfoot makes wrestling a lot more exciting for Fergal, Kaspar and Leo.

Peanut's and Winnie's paws (and sometimes entire legs!) look like they have been dipped in chocolate in these conditions. I'm surprised little Pixel isn't put off by the mud but such is her commitment to the ball, that nothing can stop her. Similarly nothing can suppress Ziggys bounce.

Jess is amazing, she loves being out with us in all weathers despite her advancing age and only being able to respond to hand signals. Scout seems fairly impervious to the mud and always comes out looking the cleanest despite his wild leaping and antics.

Meanwhile Oscar, Reggie, Kaspar and Milo all give the appearance of not being too mucky due to their fabulous black coats (but actually are filthy...). In stark contrast, Lammie's beautiful white fur looks grubby no matter how much I try to wash the mud off!

There are just not enough dry dog towels at the moment no matter how many we wash and my dog washing pumps are earning their keep!
