What a weekend!! ☀️🙌🏼🐕

I don’t think we had a quiet hour, absolutely wonderful to meet all the lovely humans and dogs over the weekend, including so many fabulous returning customers - we love catching up and hearing all about your latest adventures! ⭐️

A shout out to all the lovely traders too, Holker is the highlight of our year and is always full of so many great local businesses that are driven by such awesome folk! 💪🏼

Final thanks to the Holker Hall & Gardens team who put on a fabulous event year on year- the organisation is fantastic and there is always a friendly smile greeting you! 😘

Time to make more stock, we can’t wait for the rest of the festive season!

Holker Winter Markets ❄️

Day 1 is done and was blooming marvellous, lovely to meet so many fabulous new and returning doggos and humans! ❤️⭐️

Saturday and Sunday hours are 10-4pm, if today was anything to go by, it’s going to be a corker of a weekend!! 🤩

Dogs very welcome, great range of stalls and food stands, house and gardens open too!

LOVE ❤️

Two weeks today, we will be getting married! 🍾🎉

Curtis & Hector are buzzing, obviously they’ll be the stars of the show and fully kitted out in their finest! 👌🏼❤️

Goodlie Dogs will be having a little holiday whilst we focus on all the final details for the big day, and then enjoy a little honeymoon!

We plan to be back open on 1st October, social accounts won’t be checked, but I’ll get back to everyone on our return 🙏

Our beautiful Herdwick leads, but in a much shorter version! Perfect for all of your training needs, our handle leads give you both confidence and convenience (and they look blooming fabulous!!) 🤩

Based in Kendal, the Cable and Blake fabric of the lakes team use wool sourced direct from farms in the Lakes to produce these fab, durable wool fabrics! It’s rare (and actually, quite difficult) to source a fabric who’s composition can be fully traced, so we’re super delighted to be able to support our homegrown businesses and industries! 💪🏼👌🏼

Handmade in rural Cumbria, our dog treat pouches are perfect for all of your dog training needs! Great for training sessions when you need to access your rewards quickly and easily, two powerful magnets ensure that you can open and close the pouch with one hand and ensure your focus can remain on your dog. The pouches come with a leather belt loop so that you can secure the pouch onto your belt- no chances of falling off when it’s safely attached at pocket height!

It’s Coronation weekend! 🇬🇧👑

Whether you’re celebrating or not, it’s a good excuse for a bit of wonderful community spirit and for coming together with friends and family!

Our fabulous local, have added a festive flair to the pub greyhounds in addition to their usual Herdwick bow ties (which have been on and exposed to all elements since Christmas btw- isn’t wool great!?), and Great Asby is looking great with all the bunting and flags!

Easter Weekend at Dacre Hall,Lanercost Priory! 🐣☀️

The lovely team at Dacre Hall have put together a wonderful craft and Easter fair over the bank holiday weekend- open 10am-5pm daily until Monday! There are so many wonderful local crafters involved, and your support helps keep (reputedly) the oldest village hall in England going strong!

The hall forms part of the 12th Century Lanercost Priory, set in the beautiful Irthing valley, just 2 miles from Brampton and Hadrian’s Wall- dog friendly, it’s well worth a visit this Easter!!

MEET THE TEAM!! 👋🏼😁

A great big hello and welcome to all of our new followers! 👋🏼 We thought we’d start the year with an introduction to our Goodlie Dogs team, as it’s been a while since we’ve shown our faces!

Next up on the meet & greet is Hector! 👋🏼

Hector is the newest addition to our team, joining us as a pup at the start of 2020! He is a full springer spaniel, and boy does he fit those spaniel stereotypes! 😅🙌🏼

The king of zooming everywhere and springing all birds in the vicinity, he is an absolute hoot and loves long days hiking in the fells!

He’s developed into a fine toy and dogwear tester, ensuring all products are dragged through several hedges backwards before we launch them. Curtis is still teaching him the patience required for modelling, but he’s nailed the bow tie smoulder for the camera- you just have to take the photo within three seconds or he’s gone! 😂

His favourite things are gundog training with , stealing Joe’s slippers and jumping into the biggest bogs he can find up the fells! ⭐️🐾

MEET THE TEAM! 👋🏼

Oh hiiiiii everyone, hoping your New Years have started swell!! We’ve had a great couple of weeks, but goodness, we could’ve done without all this wet weather!! ☔️ Anyone else ran out of dry waterproofs?! 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

A great big hello and welcome to all of our new followers! 👋🏼 We thought we’d start the year with an introduction to our Goodlie Dogs team, as it’s been a while since we’ve shown our faces!

First up, meet Curtis! Curtis is our Senior Toy Tester & Top Model, he’s been teaching Hector the ropes over the past few years and passing on all the tricks of the trade (including how to upgrade the treat offering by feigning disinterest when modelling… eventually the humans get the mini cheddars out…)!

Curtis was rescued by the as an 18-month old, and is a spaniel-saluki cross. He’s been with us since, and is now 11-years-old and lives his absolute best life daily! His favourite things are digging for mice, eating tuna, and snuggling on the sofa after a long hike!

A pivotal part of our business, Curtis has been shaping our little business since Day 1 - he’s a total legend! 😁🙌🏼❤️

MERRY WOOFMAS 🎅🏼🐶

Made out of the beautiful Sophie Allport fabrics (100% cotton) and backed with our plain linen fabrics, they are stuffed with locally sourced Herdwick wool! No squeaker, but jolly entertaining for the doggos with the wool sniffs, they look beautiful in the house and are loved by our two spaniels!
