There is Power in silence.
When it comes to communicating with my dogs, there are many ways that I do it. One method I like to practice is silent communication where I use little to no words.
Usually when there is silence, there is peace, there is calmness.
Dogs need calmness just as much as they need physical exercise.
The more silent you are, the higher the value of your words when you actually do speak. Also you’ll notice that you’ll be more in tune with your dog.
When you talk too much or repeat words and commands, the words start to loose value. They just become a bunch of mumbo jumbo to you dog. So you can actually say more by saying less when it comes to dogs. Especially since dogs communicate with body language and energy naturally.
Of course, it important to teach your dog verbal commands. Just don't overuse them. Say your command ONCE and one time only. Your dogs will actually understand you and respect you so much more.
