My approach to training is different than many others. My goal is not to change who your dog is, but to work with your dogs limitations and your families wants and needs by finding a way to combine those importances so that both parties are happy. I want your dog's personality to flourish as their own, but I want you as the owner to feel comfortable and confident with understanding why your dog is the way they are, how to better read your dogs emotions, wants and needs, and to apply techniques that will create more mindfulness and less stress for the whole household.

I wanted to update you all on what's going on with the business start up. We were hoping to start classes this week at PetPeople, but because of the uncertainty of regulation changes due to the rising number of covid cases, we have to postpone in-person activities, including classes or private lessons. I am hopeful that come the new year, after the holidays, we will dive into in-person training!

Currently, I am working on creating some virtual training options that are both effective and affordable for you and your pup. I will be offering video one-on-one private lessons for certain behaviors, but I thought I'd ask you all if you had any other ideas on different ways we can train virtually? Your opinion matters to me!

Thank you so much for being patient through this start up. We're living in a time where everything is so uncertain right now and no one is really sure what will happen next. I personally believe that the most important thing for all of us to do is be MINDFUL of one another, hug our pups, be thankful for what we do have, and keep hoping for better.

** The Spot Command **

This is probably my favorite behavior to teach! This command is so versatile and can be used to help your dog calm down and focus in any exciting event such as: dinner time for hoomans, guests coming into your home, or at your favorite breweries patio.

Hint: Thanksgiving is coming soon. Have a mindful dog that can relax on a placemat while everyone eats and talks about what a good pup you have.

Hi fur-riends,

I have unfortunate news. Classes will have to be postponed due to some unforeseen circumstances. I want to take a second to highlight the amount of strength we have all been showing through the unknown circumstances of this pandemic. It hasn't been easy for any one of us, especially those in small business. All we can do is choose to know that things WILL get better/easier. Be MINDFUL of those around you and be willing to do things to help others that may not necessarily directly benefit yourself.

Classes may be postponed to December, but I am working hard on an alternate solution until then for those of you in need of dog training services. I will have more information for you very shortly!
