ADOPT SERAPHINA ❄️ She is an adorable flame point Siamese kitten and the last of her litter to be adopted. She was she shyest of the bunch and they were about to be euthanized before we swooped in to save them. But she has come SO far and continues to become more and more social. She absolutely loves to play with a laser toy, and likes to be pet when she is sleepy. Who could resist that face!

CHOMP 🥲 Just a reminder see that cats are naturally curious and playful. At the lounge we are able to monitor them when they are acting a little mischievous but at home during the holiday season be aware of possible dangers for our furry friends.

I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING 😆 I somehow captured the funniest face of our resident cross-eyed girl Amari. She actually just went home tonight as foster -> adopt with our employee’s sister so congratulations Amari! But I had to share this, I hope it also brings you some joy 🐈‍⬛

We are also in the process of (attempting) to put up the tree for Christmas but I’m not sure if the crazy crew of kitties we have right now will allow it. It’s never a boring moment at the cat lounge that’s for sure.

ADOPT JAR-JAR 💖 This gorgeous girl has been waiting for a home for over a year and one of our longest residents. She was born on May the 4th (hence her Star Wars themed name) and she is both sweet and playful.

We are really hoping she finds a home for the holidays. She has only ever known the lounge and while our kitties are very happy here, they all deserve families. WINTER HOURS ❄️ Starting December we will have a slight change in weekday hours. We will also start decorating for the holidays, the lounge becomes an extra special place to visit in the winter. Escape the cold outside and warm yourself with a kitty on your lap!

KITTENS? Still?? 😧 In other parts of the country ‘kitten season’ generally in the spring and summer when momma cats give birth. But in Southern California and other warmer climates it occurs all year long. This may sound cute but it means that the overpopulation crisis is made worse with year long births. We are still seeing little ones entering kill shelters every day!

We hope that if you able to, you may consider opening your home to a new little furry friend to help save their life. At STMM we just received four new 4 month old kittens, like Gadget here, who are ready for homes!

INTRODUCING REECE’S 🧡🖤🤍 She was scheduled to be euthanized at the YV shelter from having a bloody nose. But she has had 0 symptoms since we got her. We will still monitor her- but honestly where we live in the desert, the dry air can absolutely cause that for humans and kitties alike. Certainly not a reason to be killed.

Reece’s is so sweet, gorgeous and has already started sleeping in bed with me. She will be getting spayed in December and then will be ready for a new home. This is what STMM is all about ✨

YUCCA VALLEY KITTIES SAVED FROM EUTHANASIA 🐾 The Yucca Valley shelter has started to implement an urgent euthanasia list, and this is actually a great step in allowing rescues to be able to see and step in for animals in need whereas before they would kill them without anyone knowing. Tiny progress? 🥲

Anyway we were able to step up and rescue Reece’s (a previous young momma) and Ellen (a sweet senior). Ellen, who already has multiple nicknames (Ella, Melon, Funny Cow, Moomoo) will need some serious on-going medical care so we would absolutely love if our community could help us help her.

This month was rough for us financially (literally thousands in the negatives 🙃) so any help is so appreciated and honestly necessary to help us save these little lives.

RE-INTRODUCING CARLTON 🐾

This dapper gentleman was a lounge OG way back in 2023 and sadly after some time with a loving family, he is back in our care due to a housing limitation. Though a bit confused at first, he has settled back into lounge-life like the pro he is. He’s using his long legs to strut around and get into all sorts of antics (which may involve irritating some of our resident girls).

GIVE THANKS: Meow Meow Shelter Essentials Supply Drive 2025 🙏🧡🐱✨ Our shelves are running low, and with 25-30 rescue cats depending on us every single day, we’re asking our community for a little extra love this Thanksgiving.

We already have lots of the ‘fun stuff’ like toys, beds, etc. but these less exciting donations are what we really need. To keep the cats healthy and safe we go through a TON of cleaning supplies, food and litter.
