Who loves this colour combo? 🥹

Friday is finally here - and not because I don't enjoy making beautiful clothes for your houndies, but because I am looking forward to attending this Sunday's Dog Show organised by at Mosley Common 📍

I think Mr Blas & Co enjoys market days even more than me 🤭 He asks to cuddle every dog that walks past our stall, and he has become an expert in measuring your dogs and advising on sizing 〽️

I hope to see many familiar faces and to make loads of new friends - and hopefully add more Blasquitos to our growing fashound family 😉

🍑 Peachy Throwback Thursday 🍑

My sweet gentlehound is dearly missed everyday. I always liked pinks and purples for him, they suited his blue fur so well. And he looked super sweet in his Peachy necktie last summer 🥹

We have now reached a year since his back legs were very weak and he could barely move for a whole weekend. It was a very scary time.

Next month it'll be a year since we got the confirmation of his osteo diagnosis, and before I know it, it will have been a full year without him.

I don't publicly chat about him often, but he is in my mind a lot.

Mozzie lives through every single one of your dogs who wear Blas & Co. He was my muse and this is his legacy, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for making that possible 💙

Sweet Wilma may be 11, but she is still a puppy at heart! I was watching the videos her hoomum shared yesterday from their recent trip to the beach 🏖️ and if you watch them, you will understand what I mean.

Last summer she delighted me with some ✨EXTRA✨ modeling shots like this one 🥹

Wilma is a big fan of our neckties and you will be pleased to know I restocked this print - Cool Coyote - earlier this year in preparation for the Summer months 💙

He is the king 👑 of colour coordination and accessories and he always knows which collar and tag to pick to go with his bandanas ☺️

Bandanas were very popular at our last event, and they are ideal for the summer months. They just add that splash of colour to your houndie 🥹👌🏼

💌 Sundays spent in good company 🐾

What a day we just had! ☺️ Thank you so much to everyone who came by to support and spent a bit of time with us at our stall 🥰

I feel like I have a social hangover and I am quite tired so I will be taking it very easy today 🤭

Our next event is this Sunday 30th June with the lovely 💝 at Mosley Common. It's our first time attending their Summer Dog Show and we have heard loads of good things about it so we are super excited!

Summer is here and that can only mean... 🎉 It's market time! 🐾

I am really looking forward to our June events, hosted by two rescues that have helped many of our friends and customers ☺️

This Sunday 23rd June we will be at the Hector's Dog Show (Oswestry Showground). Please remember we are offering the Hector's t-shirts until the end of June with £5 per t-shirt being donated to Hector's Greyhound Rescue . Additionally, £1 for every item sold at our stall on the day will be donated to them.

Then on Sunday 30th June we will be at Makants Dog Show (Mosley Common). We have been raising funds for Makants Greyhound Rescue NW this quarter as part of our initiative and we want to end the quarter with a bang. We look forward to calculating the totals raised for them during the period April to June ☺️

Please come and say hi, enter your doggos into some of the classes, browse around the stalls and support two organisations that do so much for greyhounds in need ❤️

Run free over the rainbow 🌈 my sweet Luna 🌶️

Our thoughts are with Luna's hoomum and hoonana right now 💌

We feel very lucky to have had the pleasure of getting to know Loons and will forever treasure the memories from all our chats, walks, fun photoshoots and even a caravan & camping trip ☺️

Luna's Instagram was a ray of sunshine in everyone's feed. Her hoomum's fantastic sense of humour made me smile and laugh even in my darkest moments.

Sleep tight Lunita. We will miss you more than you could ever know ❤️‍🩹

I have woken up in an extraordinarily good mood 😁 so this picture of Dora captures pretty well the Monday energy we will have at the Studio!

Who couldn't resist those big eyes and sweet snoot? 😭🫶🏼

Seamus is rocking a Khaki+Orange Duo vest with a polo neck - he is giving me all the Autumnal vibes ☺️🍂 and the orange makes his black fur pop!

And here's a little secret... I had planned to do Khaki+Yellow 🪖💛 as part of the Duo range but when Seamus' hoomum approached me and asked for a custom vest with this colour combination a few weeks ago... I realised I had to go with 🪖🧡 instead!

🎉 Friday smiles 😁

Larry has the biggest of smiles because the weekend is about to commence and that means quality time with his pawrents and houndie meet ups ☺️

This is one of those weeks I think 'thank Dog it's Friday!' because it's been pretty busy at Blas & Co HQ.

The Studio will be closing at midday once all orders placed up until 2nd June are ready and packed 📦 which puts us in a great position to tackle all the Duo and tankini newbies next week 🥳

This afternoon I will have a special guest visiting us - have a look at our stories later to find out who they are! 🤭

Hector's Greyhound Rescue are an amazing independent charity based in Oswestry, UK, who have helped countless greyhounds, galgos and other sighthounds find their furever homes for many years – including our own Mozzie, Pepa and Dora 💝

Lavender+Mint and the biggest ear hat in town 🤭

Dora has been making me laugh loads these past few days with her modelling sessions. She has been incredibly patient and has been pulling the funniest of ear positions for the camera 📸 - this one is probably my favourite 😁

We have noticed she has calmed down a lot since last Summer and she is channeling her inner Mozzie more and more. She will be 6 next month so maybe it's just an age thing? We adopted Mozzie when he was almost 7 and Pepa when she was 5, so perhaps it is quite normal to notice this change around the 5-6 year mark. Have you observed something similar with your greyhound? 🤔

Our latest launch is now live and it makes me super proud to say all the new garments are made with certified organic cotton fabrics 💚

💙 Dora the leaner 💛 - Tankini edition 👙🤭

I was saving this picture for Tankini launch day, and that day has finally arrived 🤭 - more specifically it is happening this evening at 7pm together with our brand new Duo Range!

After giving it a lot of thought and research, I ended up caving in to peer pressure. Luna and a few more doggos (you know who you are!) pleaded with me to call these new garments Tankinis - so here we are... 🫣😂

Dora and Luna's friendship has developed over the last few years and it's been beautiful to witness how comfortable they are with each other - there isn't a meet up nowadays where Dora doesn't lean on Luna at some point 😄 and we all know Luna is very precious of her own space!

🕺🏼 Groovy Larry 🪩

This Pistachio+Orange jumper is giving me all the groovy vibes! I totally picture Larry on the dance floor with this 🤭

I think it's because this colour palette reminds me of those characteristic funky wallpapers with flowers and geometric patterns from the 70s 😅

Happy ToT from Dora & Dawn 🥲

Today's post is a lil bit different, as I would like to shine a spotlight on a very sweet moohound who is looking for her forever home 🏠 in the hope this reaches the right family ☺️

As part of my time in the Sheffield/Leeds area, I got to meet Dawn and take her on a day of adventures away from the kennels where she is waiting for a family of her own.

Dawn is a sweetheart, she is quite young and is full of energy - she really reminded me of the 2-year-old Dora we adopted in 2020 - and she got along with Dora immediately. We had a long walk at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and she was super interested in the squirrels 🤭

Dawn is under the care of - a small charity that has a number of greyhounds looking for homes.
BADAW are really in need of some extra volunteers to help walk their dogs nearby the kennel facilities in the Rotherham area on a regular basis, and if I lived closer I wouldn't think twice about it.

It's common to think that we can only help rescues with monetary donations (which of course are always needed) but donating our time and giving dogs an opportunity to do sniffaris and exercise is also a wonderful way to help them whilst they wait for their forever home.

If you would like more information about Dawn, any of the other dogs in their care (we also met the most gentle of gentle hounds called Cody 🥹), or about becoming a volunteer, please contact 💌. If you don't follow them already, please do and help them reach more dog lovers and promote the dogs under their care 💝

💃🏼 The lady and the hounds 🐾

If you have been here for a while, you will know I love meeting with fellow hound lovers and your special houndies in real life ☺️

Our family organises Shrewsbury (the next meet up will be 9th June!) and we literally take Dora on tour around the country as much as possible so she can meet with her Instagram friends ☺️

We feel she benefits loads from hanging around with other greys since she became an only doggo ❤️‍🩹

Our next adventure will take us to Leeds next Monday and I am quite excited about it! 🥰

💙 Emma & Badger 💚

The 90s hoodies for Hoomum & Hound have so far been my favourite creation of 2024, and this beautiful family really does them justice - they look amazing!

These garments take quite a lot of material and time to make - particularly the human version! - which is why I can only offer a handful of them at specific times of the year.

If you are interested in a custom Matchy-matchy set, please get in touch over the coming few months. Summer is the ideal time to work on more time consuming projects like that before Autumn arrives and everyone is after a new outfit for their hounds 😅

Do you also get 'beach volleyball vibes' or is it just me? 🤭

Thank you so much for all your comments on last week's post about the prototype for a shorter version of our vests. It certainly looks like there is an interest so I will make them available as a new product of our Everyday range in our next release.

I am hoping to have a date soon but it is looking like it will be early June!

Luna was another hound that has been testing a sample of these garments for the past month. Despite her keen interest in calling them Tankinis, I think I will settle on either Tank Tops or Tankies... Although the internet seems to think they should be called Crop Tops 😕 - oh the joys of naming things! 😂

🐋💙 Have a very peachy Monday! 💙🍑

Dora is well known for having a very fluffy bum 🤭 - her long hair even makes little crests and swirls along her bum. So... yeah, my camera roll has quite a lot of pics of her bum floof 😅

Ocean Dreams has been very popular during our March and April event stalls, so I will be making a bunch of t-shirts in this fabric for our Summer events.

So far we have 2 stalls confirmed for June and I am on the look out for a couple more in July or August if we can.

💝 Lean on me 💝

It hasn't been an easy week at Blas & Co HQ.

If you remember that meme of a girl and a burning house - that's how it's felt. And it is ironic that this week is Mental Health Awareness Week.

Learning about the passing of four Blasquitos - Eddie, Aska, Flashie and LLD - on top of having a few people close to me in a bad place (physically and/or mentally) has been challenging to say the least.

After I lost Pepa in a very sudden and traumatic way, something changed inside me forever. And every dog loss ever since has felt too close to home.

I try my best to enjoy every interaction with friends and family, and to be present, in the knowledge that it may be the last. That feeling is even stronger with Dora, who I know I will likely have to mourn one day.

She has been an amazing source of comfort these past few days and for that I am grateful.

Whilst this is a business account and I try to keep it focused on what is going on in the Studio, please know there is a human being behind the account and that my DMs are always open to chat. Please know you can lean on me 💌

👀 Crop top vests anyone? 😜

Back in December Amanda from asked whether I could make shorter vests for long doggos like Stanley, who prefer this style - whether it is because they hate something touching their delicate 🍑, they usually walk with their tail up, or run generally hot but still need a bit of protection.

A few weeks ago I made some prototypes to put them to a test - and of course Stanley got one 😉

What are your thoughts? Is this something you would be interested in? How should we name these to not confuse them with our vests or t-shirts? 🤔
