Waking up in a covered wagon is a great way to start your day. It just gets better from there. Hiking in Zion, history lesson at the tunnel, catching tadpoles downstream, and playing “Catch Xen” which btw, they didn’t. Another glamping trip in our history book.

20 years ago today, my dear husband passed away. I will be eternally grateful for the years we had together. He was a wonderful,supportive spouse, an incredible father, and a dedicated son and son-in-law. He served his community tirelessly and set an example for all of us to serve in church callings and as a good man who recognized and met the needs of others. Jim left us too soon in my judgement, but left us prepared to move forward. I believe he has been with us many times during the last 20 years, and I’m counting on his continuing help. How blessed we have been to have him as a husband, father and friend! Missing you as always. . .

These seeds have waited years for rain to turn the desert into a Monet! Eight different wildflowers on a short detour on my way to Mesa, AZ. Today the drive was a visual treat.

I fell asleep to my sleep app telling me, “feel the weight of your blanket grounding you to your bed” and woke up to Xen sleeping on my chest, Bishop with his head on my stomach and Divinci stretched out on my legs and feet. I definitely felt grounded!

The grands had been here less than 20 hours, when I heard a crash and Divinci came running in wearing the doggy door. He was traumatized and feeling very remorseful. We looked over the situation, but agreed it wasn’t salvageable. Removed the remnants and reminded Divinci, “accidents happen” and most broken things can be fixed. Tomorrow we’ll find and install a new doggy door. Check back . . .

After a snowy drive to Kingman to pick up the grands, a couple of potty breaks on the return trip, and a lot of backseat driving, the Boys are back!
