FAQ’s

HI and welcome to CHOCS - Canine Hoopers Online Courses Shows. What is CHOCS? CHOCS was created during the pandemic and is a way of giving dogs and owners, an opportunity to do Hoopers at home during Lockdown or if they have space, to use the courses as per the diagrams. Who can do Hoopers? Hoopers is a low impact dog sport, which means it is more inclusive that other dog sports ie agility. So as long as you and your dog don’t have medical issues, which prevent you, Hoopers is open to everyone

I don’t have any or much hoopers equipment. How can I do this? We appreciate that people may not have the equipment. You can use ANY items to make up the course, as long as they are safe to use ie a flower pot to go around or washing basket. Alternatively, buy or borrow some Hoopers equipment

How often are the shows? Currently every 2 months. The next show ends 31st October 2020 and is Halloween themed

How do I enter? First you need to register with CHOCS, by emailing to [email protected]. You will be sent a form to complete. The fee per team (1 dog + 1 handler) is FREE. Each dog can have more than one handler, but that represents another team, so must be registered separately and will also be FREE. You’ll also be sent an entry form, to complete and return with the fee
