It's surgery day! Hadley is having her final 🤞 surgery to remove two more tumors (that makes 19 now) and some much needed dental work. We are a little shy of our fundraising goal so if you have a few dollars to help the old house hippo get her cancer vaccine by we'd be forever grateful!

Pearls for Pups will be donating net proceeds to us this weekend! While we've been a little quiet our work continues finding last call shelter dogs their forever homes.

We've placed 75+ dogs in homes this year - our first year! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go into our general fund which we use for the unexpected vet visits and things like routine preventatives.

This is GRIT - it's the unwavering determination to get dogs healthy and safe no matter the effort or the cost! Ramsey here enjoyed his flight to a new foster after spending a couple (unplanned) weeks in boarding. That cost $225 😳

Parvo strikes! Unfortunately two of these little ones have broke with Parvo and are being hospitalized. One is negative as of now, but definitely not in the clear.

We desperately need donations to help pay for their medical care! They will each cost $1-2k 😞 They were supposed to be headed to PA to live their best life so we weren't planning on this AT ALL. Please help us give them the best care 💔

We also need a foster who can isolate a potential Parvo puppy. If that's you, send us a message. We don't want to risk him getting Parvo if he doesn't have it!

These five puppies are going up for adoption! They will have 2 rounds of distempter/parvo, bordetella, microchip and spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee!

Did someone say puppies?!? We have three left that are ready for forever homes! They are 9 weeks old (DOB 3/11/2021), have had 2 rounds of distemper/parvo, bordetella and are microchipped. Spay/neuter will be paid for by rescue!! They are located in Charlotte, NC (metro area) but transport can be arranged for the right home.

ADOPTED! Hope is full of s***k and has a zest for life that may be unmatched. She'll hop like a bunny when she's excited and is full of kisses!

ADOPTED! Chance is the laid back dude. It's not uncommon for Chance to be chilling in the comfy blankets while everyone else bounces and plays! He's a future house hippo.

ADOPTED! Clover is reserved but has a quiet alpha male aura about him. He'll play and tussle with the best but has a gorgeously stoic sit. He's observant and very in tune with his humans.

All puppies have gone through thoughtful socialization and environmental desentization in their first nine weeks and need future homes to continue the learning process. Many have already figured out to sit for pets, food, etc for maximum reward! Our puppies are taught recall from 3 weeks old - the first time we put a bowl of food in front of them.

Oh why not - two for Friday! Meet Cheyenne, a beautiful purebred Australian Cattle Dog who is only 10 months old. 10. MONTHS! She needs a family ready to give her a job and teach her some basic obedience. She does well on a leash and knows sit - her potential is extraordinary! She was left at a boarding facility we use so as a courtesy we will help find her the happy Ending she deserves 😊

Lennie is RUNNING into the WeEkEnD!!!!

Actually Lennie is always running, mostly with a ball or after the ball. And he's up for adoption!

6 month old Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier, great with other dogs and kids! Crate trained, house trained and knows his basic commands.

This little dude needs a big yard, an active family and probably a fur sibling!

It has been three, long weeks for Angel with this cone, this was a big moment for her! The hard plastic cone was necessary to protect the eye from inury while healing - only having one eye makes her prone to bumping into things like doors and walls... And her eye looks awesome! Most people don't even notice it's missing. She also met a nice young lab on her walk and did great! We are officially calling her dog and older kid friendly - her anxiety has all but disappeared after her eye surgery and we think she'll be a great member of a pack if her future adopter wishes!

Heartworm injections will happen next week so her journey isn't over but this should be the last of the poking and prodding for little Angel for awhile.

Look who's ready for adoption! Meet Lennie! He's a 15lb Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix who needs a highly active family. Lennie would do best in a home with an older more confident dog so he can continue to blossom - and have someone else to play with!

Angel Update!

Angel had a successful enucleation and spay in the last two weeks. Her eye couldn't have healed more beautifully! Many thanks to Dr. Fife at Carolina Veterinary Specialists for top touch surgical care, couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

Probably the most profound change is Angel's confidence. Prior to her surgery she was very jumpy, anxious, always looking for an escape route and extremely unsure of everything around her. Post surgery she's a totally different dog and we are looking forward to watching her totally blossom! Especially when she gets the dreadful cone off which she has expressed her displeasure with. Unfortunately the hard plastic cone is necessary to protect the eye from getting bumped or injured while healing - one week left Angel!

We have not drawn on the raffle yet but will go live on Facebook for an update (you'll understand why we are late 😞) and a drawing on Wednesday at 8PM! Mark your calendars and get your last minute raffle ticket purchases in for a $100 Visa gift card! We are woefully short of paying for Angel's surgery which is affecting our ability to help other animals so please share, share, share!

Re*****on and Leah were with Friends of the Duplin County, NC Animal Shelter last week and today they jumped on a freedom flight with Pilots N Paws pilot Brian to join Faithful Friends Animal Society! ✈️ Our rescue partner Rene welcomed them with open arms and is excited about them joining the pack ❤️🐾🐾

Saturday’s second freedom flight saw Bubba leaving North Carolina behind with Pilots N Paws pilot Jonathan and copilot Michele ✈️ Thanks to everyone who took care of Bubba with GCACE Pets Seeking Rescue and to his foster Rachel, who gave him a safe place to crash. The newest pack member at Pardoned Paws Rescue, Bubba is already settling in and dreaming about his best life in Maryland 🐾❤️

🐾Doc Update! We pulled Doc back in February from Lancaster Shelter Pet Showcase of South Carolina. Really thin and HW+, Doc has lots of people in his corner and we know he has a bright future ahead! His foster mom adores him and has discovered he loves chew bones! He loves to snuggle and snores when he sleeps! Doc will be treated for heart worms soon! Thank you to all who donated to his treatment! ❤️🐶

A new rescue partner, SAFE Animal Rescue in Michigan, my home state, welcomed three NC shelter pups on Saturday! Thanks to Friends of the Duplin County, NC Animal Shelter for keeping these boys safe until we pulled them. So grateful to Olivia, for meeting Pilots N Paws pilot Mark for the final leg into Ann Arbor. Bentley, Boone and R***r were in the best of hands from the beginning with pilot Dave, who then handed them off to pilot Alan. The boys were perfect passengers and we are certain three lucky “Michiganders” will be spoiling them, as they should be, very soon! ❤️🐶🐶🐶✈️

Today was a beautiful day for DeBow’s freedom flight! When we found out about DeBow from GCACE Pets Seeking Rescue, we knew this boy had a bright future ahead! Thanks to our rescue partner, Canine Rescue of Central PA, this last call pup 🐾 has joined their pack! The photos show our dedicated Pilots N Paws pilot, Fred, enjoying his time with DeBow! ✈️ Happy tails, DeBow, nka Walter, we know your forever people will find you soon! ❤️🐶

Say hello to Gypsy! ❤️🐶
She is a two years young, 48 pound, Bull Terrier mix. Spayed, HW negative and fully vetted, Gypsy is crate trained and house broken. This sweet girl walks with a slight limp due to a run in with a car, but that doesn’t slow her down as she is completely healed!
Gypsy is looking for a human to snuggle with and a yard to roll in the grass and run zoomies in.
Gypsy is loyal to her people and will lay contentedly at your feet. Her smile will melt away a bad day. ❤️
She is child friendly (ages 10+) and gets along with other dogs that are not alpha divas or dominant males. Gypsy loves puppies!
Cats are not recommended and she can be timid around men and new people.
A local adoption would be ideal as Gypsy was fostered by a trainer who has offered free sessions to her new family!
