For the time being we are saddened to announce BKL Training is closing indefinitely, we will still offer our online programs but as of now we can’t keep the doors open. 😔

It has been a journey to say the least and we’ve meant some wonderful pet parents and pets along the way.

Existing clients:
If you’ve already been a client of ours and need training contact the trainer and we will work something out. We are no longer accepting new clients for in person training.

1. Dogs Have Unique Nose Prints: Just like human fingerprints, every dog's nose print is unique! It can actually be used to identify them.

2. Dogs Can Understand Human Emotions: Studies show that dogs can read human facial expressions and can even sense our feelings. They often respond to our emotions with empathy!

3. A Dog’s Sense of Smell is Incredible: Dogs have up to 300 million smell receptors in their noses, compared to about 6 million in humans. This means they can smell things at a level we can’t even imagine!

4. Dogs Have Been Our Companions for Thousands of Years: Archaeological evidence suggests that dogs were domesticated between 20,000 and 40,000 years ago, making them one of our oldest companions.

5. The Basenji is the Barkless Dog: This breed is known for its unique sound, a yodel-like noise called a "barroo," instead of barking!

6. Dogs Can Hear Higher Frequencies: While humans can hear sounds up to 20,000 Hz, dogs can hear up to 65,000 Hz. This is why they can hear high-pitched dog whistles that we can't!
