कोई एक बात बता दे, जब इतने सारे शेल्टर हैं,
जो बेज़ुबानों की मदद करते हैं, जिनके नाम पर दान मांगते हैं।

और तो और अच्छी-खासी जगह लेके बैठे हुए हैं,
फिर सड़क पर आए दिन दर्द में रहते ये बेज़ुबान क्यों दिखते हैं?

जब दावा है कि सबका ख्याल रखा जाता है,
तो ये मासूम क्यों बिखरे, बेघर नज़र आते हैं?

कौन है जो इनकी आवाज़ को अनसुना कर रहा है,
जबकि उनके नाम पर ही दौलत कमा रहा है?

क्या वो शेल्टर सच में मददगार हैं,
या सिर्फ दिखावा करते, नाम बड़ा कर रहे हैं?

कोई एक बात बता दे, इस अनसुलझे सवाल का जवाब,
ताकि इन बेज़ुबानों का दर्द हम सब समझ पाएं, दे सकें उनको राहत का ख़्वाब।

सड़कों पे बेघर क्यों रहते ये मासूम प्राणी,
इतने सारे शेल्टर हैं, फिर भी उदासी इनकी कहानी।

क्यों कोई इन्हें दर्द देकर चला जाता है,
इनके आंसुओं की धारा यूं ही बहती रह जाती है।

बेचारे, जिनके पास जुबां नहीं, न कोई सहारा,
धरती पे हर रात बिताते, जीवन में अंधियारा।

इनके लिए भी तो कोई आसरा बने,
हर दिल में दया का दीप जले।
