I'm very excited to share that I'm starting a company! Please follow my new company,
https://www.decentralizedfarmingllc.com

We are going to be doing edible and sustainable designs, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for your new decentralized farm!

For the first 2 followers that contact me, I will do a full landscape design and installation at cost for them. Let me know if you or someone you know might be interested for this upcoming fall planting. I am willing to travel almost anywhere for this.

I’m also planning to offer financing options to help make this more financially manageable so please ask me more about that.

The greens keep coming! Baby Z even decided to join in. The more we pick, the more it grows. That is abundance, and nature is abundant. We just have to allow it to happen.

Lemon and Orange - 4 citrus in a row should create somewhat of a "citrus hedge" as I keep hearing about.

Am I concerned about another freeze? Not really, this is freeze farming lol... Ended up keeping a 5 year old Meyer Lemon and baby grapefruit alive with attic insulation around the trunk and a cover on top of the branches. Cut back to about a foot and already coming back strong. If the root system is well developed, should come back much quicker than a baby tree.

My neighbor and I both bought some, planted together, and will enjoy the "fruits of our labor".

Back at it, and ready to take it to another level this year!

Been a long time since the last post, but still progressing ... Anyone like dried foods? Trying to gauge interest, and happy to start making them for sale if there's enough interest. This round was Papayas, Apples, and Watermelons. They all had amazing taste, especially in the winter!

Time to repot this avocado tree, looked like it was starting to struggle some after looking great all summer. The roots ended up being as wide as the old pot, so think it was a good decision. Put better soil in, and some additives: Mychorrizhal, biochar, worm castings, Azomite.

Really excited to venture out and found a new soil . This is a potting soil made of compost that includes Mycorrhizal! I recently purchased some Mycorrhizal after hearing of all the great benefits with root enhancement and symbiotic relationship with the plant roots. Excited to find a premium organic potting soil that has this and multiple other great ingredients.

After a breakout year last year, the lemon tree looks like it is struggling. A lot of the buds that started in the spring died and it's been diseased on a bunch of the leaves. It is still producing a lot, but the branches are hanging pretty far down and it just looks like it needs some help. One video I watched was explaining how planting a tree in a garden bed can limit the roots. Pretty sure that's what happened here. That in combination with the tree fighting with the grass for nutrients, it was time to show the tree some love! Dug out the wood from the garden bed that was almost 2 feet sunken into the ground, gave it fresh organic compost, organic fertilizer, compost tea, and fresh Houston mulch. Duplicated with the papaya tree, and feel like they'll have more room for their roots to thrive.
