Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
After working all of my adult life in a 9-till-5 office environment, I finally decided it was time to make my ambition of working with animals a reality. So, after serving my apprenticeship with some volunteering work with the brilliant Dogs Trust & Cats Protection (I also love and own 2 cats!), an opportunity arose in the summer of 2019 to work in a Dog Day Care Centre - ScotPaws in East Kilbride.
Right from the off, I loved it, and it didn’t take me long to realise that this really was what I wanted to do. After around 6 months, I decided to take the plunge and set up my own doggie day care from home. The first question was - “what do I call it?”. Eventually, I decided to name it after my adorable Golden Retriever, Baxter. Baxter (pictured above) is 13 now, and getting on a bit, but nothing makes him happier than being around other dogs, and other dogs love being around him! He’s also now been joined by a little brother, Harris, another Golden Retriever who joined the family in December ‘19.
So that was it, Baxter’s Doggie Daycare was born. A small, friendly group of no more than 5 dogs a day, ensuring your furry four-legged babies receive the maximum one-to-one care and attention that they will be used to in their own homes. Also, I will only accept friendly, well socialised dogs, to maintain a fun and safe environment for all.
For your peace of mind, we are fully insured with Pet Business Insurance. I am also Disclosure Scotland certificated, and hold a certificate in pet first aid. All documentation can be provided upon request, please don’t be afraid to ask to see it!
