And then there’s Gertrude.

We have all kinds of things moved in the living room (thanks to a very precocious 5 year old who is into everything.)

When that happens, Gertrude thinks something has become her new bed!

Harvey finally went home!!
We couldn’t be happier that he finally found a family that is over the moon about him.

Thanks to all of you who asked questions, shared posts, sent recommendations, etc.

We appreciate all of you so much!

This ends the breeding saga of Mortimer and Gertrude.
The future is uncertain, but we hope to someday breed again.
Stay tuned for updates of puppies as they grow!

He’s still growing and now learning tricks!
Regardless of his needs he’s going to be a fantastic companion for someone!

Here’s a little update for you:
Harvey has come so far!
I’ve tried to be honest in sharing about Harvey’s issues in conversations with interested parties.
Maybe I’ve been too pessimistic about his future, but the reality is that he needs very little care.
He’s adjusted more to patterning and is not just messing everywhere.
He’s definitely sensing when he has to go and is moving away from his bedding area and also going more consistently when taken outside.
Diapers are a big help when letting him run around and play.
He is such a fantastic pupper!..and he can be yours!!

Ol’ Harv is still here!

Guys, we absolutely cannot keep this guy.

He needs to find a home because I don’t need to try to figure what to do with him if no one claims him.

He’s got the best personality and best behavior of all of our pups from all three litters!

I’ll be open and post it here:
Harvey has a nerve injury/issue affecting bowel and bladder control.
It’s improving but there’s no guarantee it will continue to do so.
It’s such a tough spot to be in with his issues, but I truly believe he’s manageable.

We’ve fielded a lot of questions and had a lot of interest, but still no home for Harvey.
This guy really needs to be with a forever family.
He’s really the sweetest little guy ever!

Hazel has gone home!

We love it when we find out people have been quietly watching our page and then, seemingly out of the blue, claim a puppy.

So happy that she’ll be staying in the area and going to a fantastic family.

You guys are really making this a great process and it’s tough knowing it will be our final litter for the foreseeable future.

Harvey is now available again. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Folks, I love you and I am happy to share information. But, please do me a favor before firing off a single question to me:

Talk to your spouse/partner before you talk to me.

Make sure you have money. If you don’t have enough to purchase an expensive puppy, maybe you should consider that an inexpensive one still costs $ to house and care for.

Just simply be prepared for everything you can think of so we don’t walk through a week of conversations and then you decide this isn’t the right time for you.

He isn’t free. I’m probably not driving 3 hours to deliver him to you. I know he’s adorable.

Now that we have that out of the way:
Harvey is awesome. He’s a fantastic and smart puppy.
He needs a special home and will need some special attention.
