During their 3-5 week stay, your dog will live with one
of our world class trainers in their home to work on everything from basic - advanced off leash obedience, household manners, problem behavior resolution and more. Each program is custom tailored to each dog and owners needs.
Our trainers take a maximum of two dogs at a time to
ensure that your dogs training receives the focus and attention needed to create lasting results.
Additionally, we provide detailed go-home and reintegration lessons to provide insight on how to formulate a fulfilling lifestyle for your dog, proof owner handling skills, and aid in a smooth transition back into the home. Trainers are insured and five star reviewed.

Our trainers prove it!
Head trainer and Modern Primitive K9 founder Paul Edward (Deschamps) and his Malinois “Hilde” are in Karpen*si, Greece representing Team USA in the FMBB World Cup for the dog sport known as Mondioring.
Mondioring is a challenging international dog sport comprised of obedience, challenging jumping exercises, and protection scenarios.

Exciting news!!!!!! We have rebranded and expanded our pet dog business. My schedule is busier than ever with traveling, seminars, and training but regional pet training demands continue to increase. So with the help of some good trainer friends we will be focusing our efforts and expanding our service area to meet the demand! The new name is meant to be a little more universal than our previous local theme. We found Modern Primitive K9 to be a perfect reflection of our training philosophy; a modern approach aimed to complement and honor instinctual canine behavior. Link to new site in my bio!

Our young Hilde (aka Snake) just had her first Mondioring trial this weekend, taking first place with a perfect score of 200/200! Mondioring is a global protection sport in which the dog is tested in obedience, challenging jumping exercises, and bite-work. She actually tied for first with a training partner and friend who also achieved a perfect score!!! (tie break goes to the younger dog in this case).
