What tangled webs we weave … we warned people about certain individuals within Zeus’s running scams and directing donations to individuals who have zero business having their hand in the cookie jar.

Report Line for Fraudulent or Stolen Donations

Over the last week, multiple donation sites have been established and pleas for donations have been rampant on social media and other sites. The Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office has set up a phone line to report any donations that have been stolen or misused. The Prosecutor’s Office will only be investigating stolen or misused donations that resulted in personal gain or profit. If you believe you have information, please call 208-750-2088 EXT 4740 and leave your name, phone number, and a report of the incident for Detective Nick Woods.

This is the person (and his “wife” Judy) that Tammy is trusting with donations, animals, and more. Drugs? S*x offender? Lying on polygraphs? Not a one-time offender. From the source below “substantial concerns about protection of the public, future criminal behavior, potential sexual behavior.”

Can we say BS?? Every time a non-Zeus rescue ends up with animals posted to their group, they ban more people. They’re even banning their own volunteers now. It has everything to do with other rescues. Groups have moderation settings that make handling spam, requests, and more easily handled. We admin groups and pages with hundreds of thousands of users.

In the end, the control freaks lost their minds after yet another litter of puppies they wanted were taken in by another rescue. Rescue is about the animals…not power tripping keyboard warriors.

Zeus’s has banned pretty much any rescuer with actual experience, training, licensing, and knowledge from their group. Many well-respected rescuers and rescue groups seem to have upset the inexperienced wannabe in charge over there. It’s amusing.

But yet they allow unlicensed wannabe wildlife “rescuers” to use their group to obtain wildlife and engage in their unlicensed activities. For example, Aamber Hale. Not a rehabber. Baby raccoon died in her care. She provided zero veterinary care. She posts her pity party all over Zeus’s essentially putting on display her inexperience.

But it gets better. Aamber is the very same person who testified in Asotin County Superior Court AGAINST Zeus’s Friends. In open court and in a written statement in 2019, she accused Zeus’s board members of stealing money, lying, and more. Mind you, this was from the very same court case in which Rita Leslie was caught in a blatant lie where she said she did NOT sign some paperwork. However, she quickly back peddled when the opposing counsel produced the document with her signature and handwritten notes 🤔

So, Zeus’s Friends, you banned experienced and trained rescuers but yet allow fake and UNLICENSED wildlife rehabbers such as Aamber Hale and Derrick Mitchell (both having wildlife die in their care after NOT receiving any veterinary care)?? And Aamber has been very vocal in court and in legal statements about your questionable handling of funds? Interesting.

Watching Zeus’s implode as they continue to ban several more rescuers, donors, former volunteers, etc. Tammy deflecting (as usual) everything to Anna Mulligan. Numerous people coming to us with their Zeus horror stories. Their fake post about not fanning the flames when they started the fire 🤣

Our valley has an amazing population filled with rescuers. Everyone, despite differences, has found a way to work together for the animals. Embracing and nurturing those relationships for the sake of the animals has always been the focus and will remain to be. You don’t see that at Zeus’s and watching them fall apart is slightly amusing, but those rescuers from various rescues and the non-affiliated rescuers are caught in a power-hungry crossfire. Their work will also continue 😊

Thank you all for the messages. More importantly, the real rescue community is grateful for you and all that you do.

Something good is on the horizon for our rescue community. Can’t wait to share it soon.

Oh Anna Mulligan … despite Tammy completely throwing you under the bus in regards to an active criminal court case (yes, it’s recorded), you want to support her?

Guys, Zeus’s is getting so desperate and paranoid that they’re banning people for being part of this page 🤣🤣🤣 They’re banning well-respected members of the rescue community for simply learning the truth. It’s cute.

BTW, their board changed yet again. Why so much turnover? Still telling people they’re board members when they aren’t?

From Idaho Animal Rescue Network. It seems Zeus’s is up to the same games.

“It’s such a shame that this “rescue” has ostracized itself even more than it already has. Oddly enough, it’s the only local rescue that has failed to maintain working relationships with other rescues and shelters. Helping Hands Rescue and it’s board is an amazing asset to our community. It’s unfortunate that their president was treated this way.

This same rescue has also banned members of our board and some of our volunteers for no reason at all other than they are affiliated with us. They have used blatant lies in an attempt discredit other rescues. It’s sad that they seem to think rescue is some sort of competition. We have personally spent thousands of dollars helping this group in the past … for which we were promised compensation and have yet to see a single dollar repaid (nor have we made it an issue).

We are proud to work with numerous other rescues and shelters throughout our state. As evidenced by our posts, we believe in their work enough to entrust them with animals we take in. Networking is everything in rescue. When you truly care about the animals, you nurture those relationships.”

Look at these cute posts from Rita. They’re attempting to look like heroes. But we know the truth.

Rita, perhaps you should show the unsanitary conditions you kept kittens in. Discuss the veterinary bills caused by your improper care. You failed to quarantine kitties with respiratory infections, eye herpes, and ring worm. You facilitated the spread of these contagious viruses etc. resulting not only in extraordinary additional vet bills but sometimes even death. Didn’t Rita (within the last several months) even get in trouble with local authorities over these issues and your hoarding?

And let’s not forget the many lies surrounding Bean and her puppies. Shall we go into detail?? You’re constantly lying to people attempting to get PayPal donations. We love the posts where you keep collecting donations and fail to tell people an animal passed until someone calls you on it. One animal even passed within an hour of vet arrival, had a vet bill that was paid in full by another rescue, and yet you collected donations on your page for this deceased animal for days until someone said something.

Speaking of lying about puppies and dogs, we hear that once again you failed to be honest about not just one but two more dogs you adopted out. When adopters contact Zeus for help or to rehome them you guys go completely silent. We now know of 3 rescues/shelters that have cleaned up your messy adoptions in the last few months because you ignore their messages and phone calls. We are aware of 7 instances in the last 9 months in which you collected your adoption fees, did not disclose or lied about the dogs, and then provided zero support to the adopters. 7 dogs you adopted out were rehomed by other rescues/shelters because you ignored calls and messages. But Tammy will claim she didn’t get those messages 🤣

Zeus’s Friends hurts animals. Stick to lost and found.

Isn’t this the dog that Zeus’s Friends foster coordinator (Terri Sterling) got annoyed with, drove to Tammy’s house, tied to the fence at the end of the driveway (on HWY 95) out there in almost 100 degree weather, and left it there without water or shade this past summer?!?!?

The same foster coordinator who neglected Parvo puppies so badly and failed to properly medicate them to the point that you were forced to ask another rescue to intervene? Sadly, a few of those puppies died.

And let’s not forget that this very same foster coordinator also failed to protect one foster dog in her care and it completely disappeared into the mountains never to be seen alive again 😞 and only a few months later had another foster dog get attacked by coyotes?!? No fence. No kennels. No protection. Left outside to fend for themselves.

Despite these incidents, Terri was not only allowed to foster but was the foster coordinator. This is NOT what a real rescue allows to happen. Zeus’s Friends harms animals.

Tammy has a history of telling people they are officially board members when they are not. It only takes mere seconds to update your Secretary of State records and officially file the changes to your board. We have been hearing that Tammy is telling some new folks they are officially board members of Zeus's Friends. But yet there are no changes to the official filings. This photo is the last board changes made in August 2020. New board members, you guys may want to ensure your place on the board. Tammy loves to act like she knows non-profit requirements, such as claiming she can't be voted out (part of why she doesn't like officially updating her board records). There are so many misleading statements she has made about board members and how things legally should operate. Must have her imaginary lawyers working on those regulations too. Oh wait, there's no attorney of record for Zeus's either.

P.S. Tammy can be voted out :)

UPDATE: Tammy threw her new pantry manager completely under the bus for this. First she denied even knowing about the matter then she pointed fingers and blame to the current pantry manager (whom I won’t name because she is Tammy’s latest victim in our eyes). Tammy should know by now that any interaction with her is recorded, witnessed, or otherwise documented because of her need to blatantly lie. This WAS Sadie. Sadie was a beautiful, young purebred German Shepherd surrendered to Zeus’s Friends. Sadie was fostered by Rita Leslie. Rita had no experience with the breed but because she had always wanted a GSD, she decided she would be Sadie’s foster. Sadie was a great dog who only needed basic training when she entered into Rita’s care. She had zero aggression issues and was essentially a large puppy.

Rita’s home environment was already chaotic and overwhelmed with numerous animals kept indoors. It was an environment with disease, cats breeding, and more. It was so terrible that people who adopted from her complained of untreated ear mites, fleas, ring worm, respiratory infections, and more. People who bought items from the auction complained that items were stained in cat urine and had other smells. You get the idea.

Rita has zero experience as a trainer. Rita also kept Sadie locked indoors most of the time with only potty visits to her small backyard. Sadie was not properly exercised, trained, stimulated and more. Poor Sadie was set up for failure from the moment she was surrendered to Zeus’s Friends. But Tammy and Rita kept discussing how they would get a fat adoption fee for this beautiful girl. That was the focus.

After spending OVER A YEAR cooped up indoors without proper exercise and training, Sadie started to act out towards kitties in Rita’s overcrowded home. Sadie was set up to fail and because Zeus has burned so many bridges that options for Sadie were limited. However, there were options available and offered that Rita and Tammy refused because they were selfish and would not allow Sadie proper placement where they could not control the situation and profit from Sadie in the end.

In the end, because of their failures and greed, they had this beautiful girl euthanized. Sadie’s crimes? No exercise. Improper stimulation. No training. Being cooped up inside a home that was hoarding animals.

Don’t be fooled by Zeus. If they cannot easily rehome a dog, they disappear into terrible foster placements or are euthanized. They don’t rescue. They look to make a buck. Otherwise they are shoved into outdoor kennels with terrible care or sent to unsavory fosters in overcrowded homes where they sit for months, often longer. Some of those dogs sat in foster with zero placement efforts for two years!!! And in Sadie’s case, they died.

Sadie was a good girl. She is not a dog who should have been killed by a lazy foster and a greedy rescue.

Another LIE by TAMMY FALCON. We know of several local reputable organizations and shelters that encourage networking with each other. They share posts, tag each other, help fundraise, promote events and more.

Most legitimate local rescues will specifically NOT work with Zeus’s Friends. You will notice that Zeus’s Friends is not promoted or tagged by others because of the lies, history of police involvement for animal cruelty and neglect, extraordinary outstanding bills, lack of credible leadership and several other reasons.

Don’t believe it? Just check out the pages of the local rescues and shelters. They work well together, and without Zeus’s Friends.

Zeus’s goes through fosters like candy. They treat them so poorly that they can’t retain them. It’s gotten so bad that they’re constantly begging for new fosters and have resorted to allowing the very people they trash to foster dogs. Tammy has accused Adriana Marshall of many things, including flipping animals. She and another Zeus board member also stated that Adriana had been in trouble in her neck of the woods for her mistreatment of animals. But yet they are now letting her foster.

Once again, Zeus is endangering animals instead of looking out for them.

Rita, why not post about the trouble you got into because of your poor care of animals? This fluff piece is cute but hardly shows the big picture. The URI’s, the eye herpes, the injuries, the breeding, and a million other things that got CPD involved recently? Do you think hiding behind the page and posting cute photos will get you donations for the vet care that is needed due to your lack of care?

What happens to animals fostered by Zeus’s Friends?

Many go into hoarding situations or situations with too many animals. Because Zeus is notorious for how poorly they treat their fosters, they have a very high turnover. As a result of this, the fosters they do have are guilt tripped into taking on too many.

While in foster with certain board members or admins, animals are exposed to fighting, disease, injuries, and more. This results in more veterinary bills being racked up and the care being very poor. Then of course they come begging for donations from you. They don’t get grants. That should concern you. You should ask them why they don’t get grants. The excuses are infinite.

Terry had Parvo running rampant at her place but yet they kept giving her more dogs and puppies. She failed to provide care for the Parvo as instructed by veterinarians. As a result, puppies lost their lives and Terri sent numerous frantic messages and ended up leaving a couple of the remaining puppies with another rescue. Terry also got so fed up with a dog this past summer that she tied it to Tammy’s fence in the 100 degree heat and left it there. Terri also had a dog go missing (never found and presumed dead) and others endured coyote attacks on her watch. She was their foster coordinator at the time.

Rita Leslie’s cat and kitten hoarding lead to several outbreaks of URI’s, eye herpes, foster kitties getting pregnant, and dangerous situations with dogs. This resulted in even more veterinary bills. People who picked up cats and kittens would complain of fleas, ear mites, and other issues. There were people who picked up auction items from her place and mentioned the cat stench on many of the items. And Sadie ... the dog she murdered. We will save that story for another time.

Then there are the poor animals under the care of Tammy herself. Horrible conditions. We are saving a very special post with those details and current 2020 photos and videos.

We could go on and on with the horror stories of Zeus’s foster care. Most of the veterinary debt is due to the inadequate care of animals by them.

Do not be reassured that animals are safe with Zeus’s friends. The few really good fosters they get don’t last long. Ask questions. Why are so many fosters no longer fostering? Why is there such turnover among fosters and admins? Why are their veterinary costs so high? Why did cats disappear into Rita’s and never go up for adoption or adoption events?

This page is not about destroying Zeus's Friends. We believe they offer a great service with lost and found animals. However, once you get past that, there is much more happening with Zeus's Friends that actually endangers animals and sometimes the public. There are instances of law enforcement and animal control being involved with their leadership's neglect of animals in their care. Even recently we have some veryyyy interesting photos and videos, taken in 2019 - 2020, and dating back to 2014.

We want people to know the truth about Zeus's Friends. We want people to ask questions and demand answers from Zeus's Friends. We want to see new leadership and a new board that will continue Zeus's Friends original mission of reuniting lost pets with their owners. We want leadership that doesn't spend time playing victim themselves and truly focuses on the well-being of animals.
