Sweet, friendly and playful, Ellie is in search of her forever home. She's been in foster care for nearly four months now. We've completed her necessary core vaccines and she is a hundred percent healthy and ready to find her family.

Ellie, along with her mom and brother, were rescued from a street dweller when she was just a few weeks old. I took a chance to save the family from an uncertain fate in hopes that they could live a life better than being tied up, or left on the streets to scavenge for food.

Ellie is such a wonderful puppy. She loves people and will approach for pets and cuddles. Ellie would do well in a home, as a family pet or with another dog/cat companion. It takes a while for her to get to know other animals but once she's comfortable, her personality really shines.

With everything that has happened lately, I'd like to share some good news. Carl was adopted last week.

A day before typhoon Carina hit, Charleyne and Rov came to pick up Carl and bring him home. Carl has since made himself comfortable with his new family and is now good friends with the couple's other dog, Taco.

I rescued Poppy from a mangnanakal in 2022. She had a nylon rope tied around her neck used as a makeshift collar and leash. A common site for many kariton dogs. The rope had cut into her neck and embedded onto the skin. After I removed the rope, I cleaned her wound daily with saline solution then applied raw honey to help promote healing. After only a week her neck wound healed quite substantially. Since her rescue, Poppy has grown up to be a beautiful and intelligent dog. Cindy Santwani The Furr Project Animal Hospital

Headstrong, adventurous, and a firecracker, Ellie's personality is just like the character I named her after in the movie UP. This adorable puppy will charm you with her wrinkled forehead and lovable grin. She's playful, intelligent and powerful. So powerful that sometimes her baby brother, Carl, gets 'pikon' from her always winning during their play, but hey isn't that what big sisters are for?

Ellie's cries are actually what prompted me to rescue her family from the streets. You might remember their story I shared some months ago, Mama Pochi and her babies, Ellie and Carl, were left with a street dweller living outside our home. In the beginning, I wanted to ignore the situation, I had just put a sick foster to sleep and was not in a good place to deal with the issue. However, it was Ellie's persistent cries all throughout the night that made me decide to help them.

Of all the things that could've happened, Ellie is destined to find a loving forever home. She deserves a family that will love her and treat her well.

‼️Justice For Cindy and Her Unborn Puppies‼️

We received distressing news about Cindy, a beloved dog often seen around a well-known cathedral in Bacolod, where many animal lovers had come to know her for her gentle nature. This report came shortly after a concerned local who feeds strays alerted us about Cindy's sudden disappearance, reportedly on the priest’s orders. Tragically, it was confirmed that Cindy is dead.

According to JP, who, along with his wife Greenfield, had cared for Cindy throughout the pandemic, she was brutally treated. Her mouth and feet bound and she was left to suffocate in a sack on the church premises. This horrific practice has reportedly been a longstanding issue, targeting not only dogs but also puppies and cats.

In addition to Cindy, who was pregnant at the time, there have been reports of puppies also being stuffed into sacks and dying from suffocation.

Reflecting on the past, we have rescued several litters of kittens, puppies, and cats who were at risk of meeting the same cruel fate as Cindy. Informants have emphasized the urgency of these rescues, reporting that staff were instructed to confine these animals in sacks and dispose of them.

These lovey, bonded, sisters are still looking for their forever home! Ube and Keso were rescued as neonates after someone dumped them on the sidewalk. Together the best the odds and thrived under foster care. Now the sisters are strong and healthy, and have completed all necessary vet checks.

Because they were hand reared, Ube and Keso are extremely friendly towards people. They're also great with other cats and dogs. Ube has a more independent spirit. Her tortitude makes her adventurous and outgoing. Keso is extremely affectionate. She loves jumping on shoulders and grooming your head. Ube and Keso have a strong sisterly bond. Through those tough early days of foster care, they drew strength from each other to survive. Now that the girls are all grown up, we'd love to find them a forever home where they can spend the rest of their lives together.

Koda is not beating the one brain cell allegations. If you're looking for a ginger cat, he's the gingerest one of them all! This funny little man is not only cute, but he's also a genuine sweetheart.

Koda enjoys playing, doing random ginger cat things, and watching you have your nth mental breakdown of the day because he pooped in the litterbox again right after you've cleaned it. I'm just joking. 👀

Be mesmerized by his yellow eyes and diluted ginger coat. Please adopt him because I still have Keso and can only handle one orange cat in this household. Kidding, we love Koda and he's an awesome cat.

Luna is the ultimate panther kitten. She's quiet and stealthy. A bit on the shy side but she has a steady and claming presence. Like any kitten, Luna enjoys her playtime. She likes practicing her hunting skills on insects and teaser toys, and wrestling with her littermates.

Luna is an independent girl and can keep herself entertained without fussiness. She gets along well with her siblings and foster friends. She is an all around good cat. I could probably say that she gets into the least amount of trouble. Any family would be lucky to have her.

One thing I've noticed about tuxedo cats is that they're extremely smart and also very vocal. Bea is no exception to those characteristics. In fact, I'm convinced their fancy suit makes them feel like a boss because that's pretty much how they behave!

Out of all of her siblings, Bea has the biggest, and loudest, personality. She is the designated negotiator amongst the fosters and is very effective in her role of demanding for food.

Apart from eating and meowing loudly, Bea enjoys sudden zoomie outbursts, acting tough around the dogs and of course being bossy. She's honestly hilarious and adopting her is going to bring so much excitement to your life.

We also have some really exciting news to share. BARK was invited to do an adoption drive at Ayala Malls Marikina for their Forever Home event on March 23-24. This is going to be our first physical adoption drive in two years.

For the next couple of days, I'll be sharing the fosters' adoption profiles so you all can get to know them a little better. Maybe you'd like to meet the kittens in person at the event, or even apply to adopt one (or two).

Ang pagpaparami ng mga alagang hayop through “mating” sa sariling bahay na walang kaukulang permit ay tinatawag na “backyard breeding” at ito po ay illegal. Lalo na kung ang mga ito ay ibinebenta o pinagkakakitaan.

Ang “inbreeding” naman ay ang pagtatalik ng magkapatid o anak at magulang na hayop. Ito ay nagreresulta sa mas mahinang mga anak na kadalasan ay maraming sakit at komplikasyon.

Sa laki ng problema natin sa animal/stray population at animal welfare abuses, ‘wag na sana tayong dumagdag pa. Ipakapon ang mga alaga kung hindi kayang kontrolin ang kanilang pagdami. I wasn't really expecting my latest reel to gather as much attention as it's getting. Isn't it wild how so many of us can relate to the same experiences when it comes to our beloved puspins? Why is it so normal for puspins to be dumped? For puspins to have scalding hot water thrown at them? We all need to do better and change our perception as a country. We need to be accepting of the puspin and see them not as pests, but equal to those cats with pedigree breeds. I am glad to be able to bring awareness on the plight of our stray puspins and aspins on this platform.

For our new followers, I'd like to reintroduce my latest litter of foster kittens. These kittens were rescued from a neighbor who had a community cat give birth at their place. Mom cat was trapped, neutered, vaccinated, and returned (TNVR) to her area, while I offered to take in the kittens. I want them to have the chance of finding a family so they may never have to face the hardships of being out on the streets.

That being said, I would also like to point out that BARK is an independent effort. I only foster and rehome the most vulnerable animals in my immediate community. I do not have a shelter and I do not respond to reports of animals in distress. While I appreciate that people care enough to report an injured/sick animal, I simply do not have the resources, funding, or manpower to take in the animals being reported to our inbox. What I can offer is advice and encourage reporters to go beyond just posting on social media.

We are a foster home, not a hoarding den. With every animal that I foster, I do my absolute best to give them the right vet care, proper nutrition and overall a good quality of life. BARK is largely self funded. We only fundraise for situations such as, trips to the vet or our TNVR projects. All donations are allocated only for the fosters, who are here temporarily until they find their forever homes.

Bridie has found her

The first of Tuna's three pups to find her forever family, Birdie, now known as Anko, was adopted by Jake and Dan.

Moving to a bustling metropolitan condominium has been quite an adjustment for Birdie/Anko. So many new sights to see, scents to smell and noises to hear. Her new family tells me she's doing well though. Birdie/Anko enjoys doing zoomies at home and playing with her favorite toy (the pink fishbone).

Sending lots of love to our beautiful girl and wishing her the best life with Jake and Dan 🤎

Ube and Keso's three reasons why adopting two kittens is better than one.

Reason one, they'll have a best friend and playmate for life! Just like these sisters, who survived abandonment as neonates, Ube and Keso are each other's constant companion.

Second reason, If you're busy with work and other life matters, two kittens can keep each other entertained and occupied. Just because cats behave differently from dogs, it doesn't mean they don't get bored or feel lonely when you're not around.

Lastly, it's way more fun to have two cats! In fact, the more the merrier! By adopting a pair, you also end up saving two lives. Maybe even more, by freeing up space and allowing the next animal in need of help to take their place.

Adopt don't shop! And by that I mean adopt Ube and Keso so they don't have to deal with my photoshoots anymore 🤭

I would like to remind everyone that BARK is NOT a shelter. The animals I post on this page are my rescues that I personally encounter on the street.

This page is intended only to help find homes for my fosters. We do not take in reports of animals in distress as we do not have the manpower, resources or funding to do so.

If you see an animal in distress, I highly encourage you to act and take that animal to the vet. Posting, tagging or messaging someone on Facebook and waiting for them to fix the problem does not help.

Billie has mastered the art of puppy dog eyes. Once the runt of the litter, she's now grown into a healthy, strong, beautiful puppy. Birdie is equal parts confident and mischievous. She is a social butterfly and is often the first among her siblings to approach people and other dogs. Her favorite hobby is wrestling with her siblings and tipping over their water bowl while carrying it in her mouth.

Behind her cheeky grin and beautiful hazel eyes, Birdie is sweet, loving, and very clever. She would be a wonderful addition to any family.

Getting a new puppy is an exciting time but it also comes with a lot of responsibilities. We will only be entertaining serious applicants who are committed and capable of treating the adoptables as a member of the family. *Successful applicants are asked to personally pick up their newly adopted pet at Sta. Mesa Heights, Quezon City.

*Adopters must not use their adopted pet for breeding and must agree to have them neutered/spayed at the right age.

*Adopters are asked to continue their pet's vaccinations after handover. This includes the core 5in1 vaccine for dogs and the law mandated anti-rabies vaccine.

In the blink of an eye, mama Tuna's puppies are all grown up. The time has come for them to spread their wings and find their forever families. I know they're going to bring so much joy to whoever those lucky few may be.

I will be posting an individual adoption profile for each pup in the coming days. They all have such different personalities and quirky traits. For basic information, the puppies are around twelve weeks old today, their estimated
birthday being October 23, 2023. They've received three shots of the 5in1 vaccine and are updated on their deworming.
