For 6 years and 6 months Wally's fragile heart was strong. He was one of the most challenging rescues we have been blessed to share our lives with but definitely one of the most loving. Our pushy boy always got the biggest treats, the warmest blankets and the longest snuggles....he accepted nothing less. If you had the chance to meet him, you know. Our lives won't be same without him and we feel grateful to have gotten the time we did. Enjoy your next adventure, Wallace. We'll meet you in the sunbeam. Until then, stay warm in our hearts, beautiful boy. ❤️

We were gifted 16 years of love with beautiful Joe. Today we said goodbye and happy trails to a kind and gentle soul. His love and loyalty will never be forgotten. 💔

*SMELLY CAT UPDATE*

It's a female and we've been calling her Phoebe! She's very skittish but slowly coming out of hiding and getting affection. And doesn't smell as bad. You can kind of see the damage to her leg...the sore and the top of the picture is her foot and the bottom is the "elbow" part. It looks like wear from walking on it. There isnt any pain response to the leg so she's comfortable enough, for now. She's definitely welcome to stay in our care until we get to the next step, whatever that is.

**UPDATE**

We've had a feral cat hanging around since the spring. This fall we were able to get close enough to notice it limping. Since then we've been feeding it and trying to gain its trust. Right before the drastic temperature drop, we were able to trap it. Its been warm and fed in our sunroom since then. Today was the first time it came out of hiding while we were in the room. We can't tell if it's male or female yet and it's maybe a year old. It looks as though it's back leg was mangled and has healed that way. It doesn't appear to be in pain but it's clearly been dragging it for awhile. The the fur has been worn off and looks sore. Also, it stinks. We can afford the time and care to get it sorted but there's no way we can take on another vet bill right now. Our question is this...if we were able to set up a "stinky cat" account with our vet, would people be willing to contribute to helping this cat? It seems to be quite sweet and certainly deserves a chance. It found us for a reason and maybe you are all a part of that. Either way, your input or suggestions are welcomed. We've reached out to local feral cat organizations as well. Pictures to follow!

We have 2 new Outcasts to introduce! Meet our lovely guinea pigs, Patrick and David! They joined us a week ago and are settling in nicely! Unfortunately David arrived with a spinal injury that has left him paralyzed, so we contacted Taylor at YGK3D.

Not only was he able to print up a wheelchair but he did it entirely free of charge! David is already getting used to his new wheels and we're looking forward to sharing their adventures with you!

We're so grateful to Taylor for helping us and hope you'll take a second to check him out and show him some support! (Check the comments for David's first action video!)
