Dr. Parker and Ashley were invited into Southeast Veterinary Hospital for the first time recently to perform an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) on a Maine C**n, and the team was wonderful! And we couldn’t get over how fun the artwork was in the exam rooms! 😂

Dr. Parker and Ashley performed an abdominal ultrasound on this sweet 14 year old boy to evaluate his kidneys, and he was such a sweetheart!

This orange beauty, Ding, made sure we had everything we needed and supervised us the entire time. Then he went to relax in his cardboard kitty castle the staff put together!

Dr. Polly Weldon has recently graduated and obtained her DVM from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and is completing an internship at First Coast Veterinary Specialists, P.A. We were so excited for her to shadow Dr. Kristen Parker and Ashley, and enjoyed having the opportunity for her to learn more about our mobile internal medicine services!
We couldn't resist the urge to show off Dr. Parker's fur baby, Bomber too! 🐾❤️

Dr. Parker and Ashley met Panther at Deerwood Animal Clinic. This cutie has been experiencing rapid weight loss and chronic vomiting, so an abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate.
We are wishing Panther a speedy recovery, and appreciate having the opportunity to participate in his care! 💜🐾

Dr. Parker and Ashley met Marley Moo at VCA Augustine Loretto Animal Hospital. She happens to belong to one of their veterinarians, and was due for an her annual ultrasound. Don't let her size fool you, she was the bestest girl and gave kisses throughout her imaging.

Dr. Parker and Ashley were invited back to the Animal Clinic of Mandarin recently and met this adorable girl, Emma. ❤️🐾😻
Emma was evaluated for a condition commonly encountered in kitties called Hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid). When the thyroid is producing excessive amounts of thyroid hormones, this can impact other organs in the body including the heart and kidneys. An abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate, and Emma was the best girl for her scan!

Team Jacksonville met Cocoa at the Animal Clinic of Mandarin. Cocoa has been struggling with blood and protein in her urine, so an abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate.
Dr. Parker and Ashley couldn't resist cuddling that cute face! 🐾❤️

Dr. Parker and Ashley recently met this sweet girl, Roxy at Sandy Paws Animal Hospital for an abdominal ultrasound. Team Jacksonville was called back to further investigate a suspicious area within her liver, by performing a fine needle aspirate (also known as an FNA).
An FNA is a minimally invasive procedure utilizing a small needle to collect a sample of cells from the area in question. These samples are then sent to a lab for review by a pathologist.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to participate in this beautiful girl's care. 🐾❤️🎉

Dr. Parker and Ashley met Seejay at Moses Creek Animal Hospital. Seejay was seen for concerns surrounding his spleen, and an abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to participate in this handsome boy's care. We are thrilled to be able to give him (and his family) the good news that his spleen was normal! 🐾❤️🎉
