Snow Day at the funny farm!

Did you know: when you see unmelted snow on horses or other livestock it means that the animals winter coat is insulating the animal and not letting the body heat escape! If their fur did not work the snow would melt immediately. All our animals have access to barns and shelters at free will and 90% of the time they prefer to be outside living their best lives. Another way to keep animals warm in the winter is to always have hay available to eat. Heat is produced by digestion which helps maintain body temperature. ❄️☃️❄️☃️
