A couple of photos from when we did the filming with Retraining of Racehorses & Horse & Country TV for their RoR Back To Basics series!🦄

Kodi was just so good this day! The youngest horse there, being only 4 years old, and she was so well behaved & acted like a pro in front of the cameras 🎥

Not long to wait now..! 👀

Kodi and I will be preparing over the next few weeks for The RoR National Championships! Our entries are in & we will be there on the Tuesday & Thursday for some dressage 💃 Looking forward to getting to ride at my favourite venue again (will be Kodi’s first time at Aintree!) & hopefully see plenty of RoR friends there 🥰

Had the best time filming with Horse & Country TV , Retraining of Racehorses & Thoroughbred Dressage today for their RoR Back to Basics series 🩷

Kodi was a super star 🌟 Travelling 4 hours there, being super & standing around for the cameras, working hard over some poles & demanding treats off everyone in the meantime 🤣 And now the long trip back home, she’s not put a foot wrong, best behaved 4yo ever!! My little unicorn pony 🦄

Decided to bring this page back to life to showcase my journey with Kodi 🩷

A LOT has happened in 6 months! I’ll try share some best bits 🥳

🩷 RoR Spring Camp
💛 Lots of cross country schooling & gallops fun!
🩷 2nd place at RoR Regional Championships with 69%+
💛 Plenty of dressage tests under her belt with lots of 70%+ scores
🩷 Qualified for BD associated championships & RoR National Championships
💛 Lots of clinics & lessons completed!
🩷 Loooots of hacking with friends

We have so many fun outings planned this year & I know how much people around me love Kodi, so i’m keen to share her journey with everyone 🥰

Happy thoroughbred birthday to Kodi & Lucky and all our TB friends 🦄💕

Lucky is 7 this year & Kodi is 4! Time is going so quick. Took the baby to her first ever arena hire in preparation for her first show this weekend and she just flew round, jumping all the fillers etc first time! 🥰

So excited for 2024 with the girls 💕

This girl is just so exciting 🥰 Now we have a much bigger arena to ride in we have canter! She struggled so much with the size of the arena being too small at the last place so we didn’t even attempt canter really! But wow she feels so incredible already at just 3 years old, even though her sessions are just very light and short, and only a couple times a week, she’s offering so much naturally!

How was she ever bred & trained to race!?

Cant wait to get her out doing some dressage next year! Hopefully one day she will make a great event horse to run alongside Lucky in the future 😍

Kodi is back in work! 🎉😍

Very nice to see her pick up straight where we left off! Mounting block work and some light schooling yesterday 🩷 She was super and very well behaved and sensible after having a week and half off 🥰

And she’s officially barefoot 🎉🥰

Kodi’s shoes came off today (she had already done us a favour this week and took the fronts off so just the backs to go 🤣) and i’m looking forward to having her back in work alongside Lucky 🥰

She’s walking very well in the field and not sore at all! Super pleased so far, still only work in the school/field until we get her a pair of hoof boots 🥾 (will be measuring her feet this week!)

Kodi arrived home yesterday and it was a day of lots of firsts!

✅ First ride out of training
✅ First ride in the arena
✅ First time going over a pole
✅ First time in a dressage saddle

She was even doing some great leg yielding to get her thinking and getting her hind leg underneath her 🥰 She is completely different to Lucky to ride, literally the opposite! Lucky is super responsive off the leg and a lot more balanced of course, Kodi is very chilled and lazy 🤣 So we are both still getting used to each other ❤️

Now most people know, thought the page could do with a little update on what’s to come! 🙈

On Friday we will be welcoming “Express Yourself” to the family so there will be lots of updates on her!

She’s an unraced 3yo TB mare who was in training with Rebel Racing. Feeling super lucky to be taking over the reins in her second career!

The plan is to produce her to event alongside Lucky, or showjump her 🤞 She is a super sweet character and I can’t wait to start working with her and sharing her progress 🎉
