I love hearing from our Puppies and their new homes! Here's a letter from one of the pups.

Sending this message on behalf of Dakota,



I am living my best life here on the Eastern Shore. I have lots of energy (like a lot) and get excited with new people and when meeting new furry friends. Sometimes mom says I need to mind my manners but I’m still a puppy right???



This past Wednesday I finished my vaccinations but I still have to go back for weight checks so I know when to go up on my heart worm /flea and tick dosage. I weight 35 but was jumping around-mom thinks its closer to 40. I finally caught on to eating and I like to eat instead of graze. I had some tuna fish oil in my food last week and it was so yummy that I had to pick up my bowl.



I love to go on walks in our neighborhood and I think my mom takes me to get me tired but I just like all the smells. I go to bed around 12m and sleep until 630ish. I no longer have to get up to go potty at night. During the day I hang with mom because she works from home. Sometimes dad travels but when he is not traveling, he is home too.



My human sister Jess comes over a lot and guess what she brings, her two cats!!!! I love them but they don’t like to play with me. I bark at them a lot and they chase me but when I chase back then hiss at me. I cry when they leave. Last weekend my mom and dad took me for a long walk at the beach. It wasn’t far from the house but we had to go in the truck (I barked the whole ride there). I got to go in the water and I LOVED IT!!! I retrieved a stick and put my nose under water. It was the best day. When we came home, I had to get a bath-still not sure about the bath thing but I love getting dried off. Last Sunday my mom took me to her brothers house. They have a fenced in back yard and I got to run around with his two chocolate labs. I don’t think they liked me barking but Charlie scared me and I cried but still had fun. Marley ignored me. I ran and ran and retrieved a frisbee. I slept so good when we got home.



I am house trained and ring the bell when I need to go out. I’ve had two accidents since Feb so I think I’m doing good. Sometimes I ring the bells so I can go out on the porch and watch the birds and squirrels. I don’t think I have my parents fooled. My mom got me a few games to keep me busy but I finish them quick, I’m really smart.



I hope my furry siblings and my mom Winnie are doing great. That’s all for now, hope you like the pictures!
