Tallow 🙌🏼❤️
A newfound love of ours! We use it for everything!
From skincare to sautéing veggies 🥦 , making popcorn 🍿, frying anything! Including deep frying! Recently we have been baking with tallow! 🍪

Tallow can replace nearly any cooking oil! It’s very simple to make-

✅ Just take some Peterson Beef Suet and “render it” (aka- cook it down- we throw it in the crockpot on low- after about 8 hours strain it- anything that is left we feed to our chickens 🐓)
✅ Place the tallow in mason jars 🫙 and allow to cool- once cooled store it in the fridge-
✅Pro tip- Place a top on the mason jars when they are hot and they will self seal themselves and can be stored on the shelf.

Tallow has a high smoke point of 400-420 degrees F.

Did you know McDonalds used to fry their fries in tallow!? 🍟 No wonder they don’t taste as good anymore! 😂🤪
