We pulled Ricky out of the overcrowded shelter just yesterday and we are already all completely in love with him ❤️ Thank you you to the moon Jennifer for taking this boy in so we could pull him!
Ricky is a very good boy who is housetrained, crate trained, great on leash and in the car!
Ricky loves all doggos and loves to play. He's ok with chickens and cats as long as they aren't running 🤣 he doesn't want to hurt them.
Ricky's most endearing quality is he is a lovebug and loves all humans ❤️ he is an absolute doll.
He is a young dog at 1.8 years old so has energy. He loves to chill and chew his bones after exercise.
Ricky is an adorable we think Border Collie /Corgi who weighs in at 23 pounds.
We are still learning about Ricky but we are taking inquiries.

We were lucky enough to build a relationship with The Canine Connection, Chico CA when we had one of our rescues train there, they are outstanding BTW! When we asked if they would take on a foster they said yes! Georgie is the lucky one that is being fostered there. She will learn literally all the things 🥰

Our friends at Cassie’s Dream, a rescue that helps dogs at Tehama Animal Shelter, asked us if we would consider fostering her and of course we said “yes!” Georgie has just arrived at The Canine Connection and we look forward to getting to know her. Give a warm welcome to the Cassie's Dream family to Gypsy! This cutie patootie was running the streets for a couple weeks and was finally trapped by our friend and her foster mom Kathy Robinson. When the family was found they decided to surrender her to us.

Gypsy is a very sweet girl and is adjusting well in foster, she has some things to learn about life still. We love her already ❤️. After Gypsy is spayed and fully vetted we will put her up for adoption.

She is an approx 1 year old Papillion mix.

The sweetest dog we know is now ready for adoption! Cassie's Dream 's Tink was spayed last week, is now fully vetted and she is ready to find her forever home! Please spread the word for this beautiful, precious and gentle souled girl!

We pulled Tink out of the critically overfull Shelter because she was terrified. But Tink bloomed in her foster home and all we see is sweet ❤️ Tink's favorite pass time is anywhere her people are, she is loving and affectionate.Tink also bonds with her dog housemates and loves to play and will cuddle with them.Tink loves toys and chew bones while chilling in the house.Tink has been great with every dog she's met.Tink tested indifferent to cats but we haven't seen her with a resident cat. (We are working on testing).Tink gets along with all people and does well with children (we havent seen her with kids under 6). Tink is housetrained, crate trained and walks well on leash.Tink hasn't had much exposure outside of the home environment so she needs exposure with her human and with dog friends help to continue to learn. Tink is very obedient, corrects easy, comes when called and did I say sweet. She makes you smile just to be around her 💕

Tink is 1.3 years old, she's a super mutt with Jack Russel being the most evident breed, she is 32 pounds of love bug.

What a fantastic turn out for our Bow Wow Bingo event to support our rescue Cassie's Dream !
What great energy you all brought, it was so much fun. Thank you so very much for all who attended and we hope you had as good as time as we did! Your support goes a long way to rescue more dogs and that's exactly what we are going to do!

Wrigley is intelligent, listens to direction and is treat motivated. Wrigley knows the basics he sits, lays down and is excellent on leash. Wrigley is sweet and attentive to his people. He is not doing well not getting the exercise and love he needs to thrive in the Shelter(most dont 😭) Wrigley is good with all people and is good with the kids he's met (over 6). Wrigley does good with other dogs, he's kenneled with two others, he can be bossy 🤣 Wrigley did well with the cat intro, see in pics, but you never know if they would chase a running kitty. Wrigley is just a good boy who needs a good home, go spring good boy Wrigley!

UPDATE 1/21 THE ABSOLUTE GOODEST BOY TOBY HAS BEEN ADOPTED❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!!!! We are just over the moon happy for him!
Thank you, thank you Kim Alward Ireland for meeting and adopting Toby, you saved him from what could have been a long stay! He looks like he sure loves his new mama 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you isn't enough to all of you who share because it so so makes all the difference🥰

This big beautiful souled boy is Toby. Toby is a gentle kind of giant who has found himself in the ‼️critically‼️ full shelter. Although Toby hasn't been there long unfortunately many Pitbull type dogs stay in shelters longer than average 😭 This is a lovely boy who could sure use our HELP to spread the word. Let's not let his beautiful spirit get broken by staying too long!

Seriously Toby has been the easiest dog to take out, he is so gentle and sweet natured. I dropped the leash during photos because I just knew he wasn't going anywhere, he will be your best boy. Toby is excellent on leash, he sits, he stays and just wants to be with you. Toby is just stunning, look at those eyes! He's young approx 1 year old and 76 pounds. He has so many adorable wrinkles that there may be Sharpei in there? Gosh don't miss out on this great dog!

Toby is good with other dogs and loves his roomy Froggy who is also available. He was interested in the kitty but not aggressive. He is good with all people. Utd on vaccines, hw negative.

❤️❤️❤️WE HAVE AN AMAZING UPDATE ❤️❤️❤️

Delta aka Butternut made it to Arizona this week where she was ADOPTED by a good friend and previous adoptor Jerry Marsh and Rachael!

This is the 3rd Cassie's dog to go to Jerry and they couldn't have gone to a better home! Delta joined Macie who was from the same shelter and they seem to be kindred spirits and are definitely telling stories 🤣
Ruby was from a small rural shelter in Az that we met while on vacation and she definitely wouldn't have made it out of there without Jerry.

Delta is already settling in well with the pack although she's been called by her middle name a few times🤣🤣 Our life of the party girl is learning the ropes, going on adventures and living the life she so deserves. We love you Delta and are so happy for you!

Delta was abandoned, starving and emanciated after fairly recently having puppies. Her finder walked with her for hours looking for the puppies to no avail 😭 Thank you so much Kathy for getting her off the streets!
Thank you so much to her foster mom Lorrie Davidson for fostering her so we could pull her into rescue ❤️

I'm often at.a loss for words volunteering in shelters because of all the amazing dogs that end up in them 😭. This is Kona and she is the sweetest wiggly thing! Can someone please go adopt this adorable girl ASAP? ! PLEASE spread the word for Kona! She needs OUT of there ASAP!

Just look at that face 😍, it's seriously hard to resist! Kona is a very good girl and has a constant wiggle butt even in the Shelter environment. She loves all people and kids (I've only seen her with kids over 6). Kona knows the things she sits most of the time 🤣 she's great on leash and enjoys walks. She had to have been loved before because shes so sweet and well behaved. I believe she's potty trained because she went the minute we got outside. This girl is good with other dogs and unknown on cats.

Shes a smaller girl so she's 40ish pounds of adorable stalky body. Kona is spayed, utd on vaccines, hw negative and ready to go home!

Today is a great day, it's"s ADOPTION day❤️❤️❤️

I pulled this very tiny kitten out of a park during rainstorms a couple months ago and named him Puddles. He went right into his foster mom Jennifer Saavedra arms, she named him Charley. A good friend of Jennifer's took interest in Charley and went to meet him and of course fell in love. Tobie deemed him Charley Puddles to keep both his names, which is too cute❤️ After Tobie was approved she really did the work to get Charley Puddles comfortable with her so that after vetting the transition would be easier. Well today is that day and Charley Puddles went to his forever home!

This magnificent dog is Dozer! Dozer is an approx 2 year old Bernese mountain dog mix (Aussie?). Dozer is fun, sweet, goofy and who can resist that face❤️ Dozer is stuck in the overcrowded shelter and needs a good home! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD for Dozer, let's get him out of there!

Dozer is a volunteer favorite and if we had open fosters we would pull him, so he's a favorite of ours too. Dozer knows some basics he sits and walks great on leash but he will need some help with basic manners (he jumps lightly on you, he doesn't listen great 🤣) . Dozer is treat motivated to learn the rules of the roost. Dozer just wants to be close to you, you can see my feet in most of the pictures. He just needs love and guidance. He's a goofy, fun loving boy who will be a great addition to most families, go get him!

Dozer is good with other dogs, he is good with cats (see picture), he's good with people and kids (haven't seen him with kids under 6)

In tough times with all going on in the world, we have to focus on the WINS! Our little rehome gone wrong rescue Nani was formally ADOPTED today by her foster family ❤️! We are so very happy for Nani and we thank you so much Dee from the bottom of our hearts 💕 We know she is forever loved and happy!

With that said as we are estatic for her adoption and her good health, at the vet today we did get an unexpected surprise. This sweet girl has a broken tooth and some loose ones so needs a dental badly😢 If you can find it in your heart or wallet 😬 to help us with the cost (UNBELIEVABLE THE PRICES, estimate in comments) we would surely appreciate it!

UPDATE 1/11! I have been sooooo excited all afternoon to make this update because TIPSY HAS FINALLY BEEN ADOPTED ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I was lucky enough to be there when her new dad and dog sister came in to meet her! He took the time and did everyone right to ensure Tipsy was the right fit! She is a lucky and very happy girl as you can see in the photos, that winning smile! Thank you SO MUCH Esperanza and your husband (and Grandma!) For adopting Tipsy 🥰

There are some days volunteering at the Shelter breaks your heart 💔 CAN WE RALLY for a BIG push for Tipsy please! You see this sweet dog has spent 192 days in the overcrowded shelter and the thing is her spirit still shines bright ☀️ But recently I've noticed a worried look in her eyes and it's just not ok! Tipsy is no different than any of the other good dogs that have found homes. Tipsy is sweet, funny, playful and loving. Can we please help Tipsy finally find her happily ever after??? LETS SPREAD THE WORD FOR TIPSY!

Tipsy is an adorable 2 year old Pitbull terrier mix in a 39 pound squatty body, she's just so darn cute! Tipsy knows the things she's good on leash, she sits, she looks to you for direction and is treat motivated to learn the ropes. She had a home before so it won't take her long to remember, she's very smart! Tipsy is playful and likes to play ball, play with toys and other dogs. She's been great with every dog she's met. She loves all people and kids, she's such a lover girl 🥰 I don't think she reacted strongly about the cats on walks but that can be tested. This darling bright eyed girl just wants to be loved.

GIVE A WARM WELCOME TO LOLA TO THE Cassie's Dream FAMILY ❤️❤️❤️

We pulled sweet Lola out of the overcrowded shelter and into rescue yesterday. Lola was clearly loved but her human was unfortunately unable to care for her. But no worries little one, you are snug as a bug in your foster home being loved and taken great care of! Thank you to her foster mom Rebecca we so appreciate you!
Lola is an almost 2 year old, 11 pound chihuahua mix with the cutest underbite ever! After we get to know Lola better and she has some vetting she will be ready for adoption. She's a happy, sweet good girl and we love her already 💕

UPDATE 1/12 OOOOHHHH SWEET YOSHI HAS BEEN ADOPTED❤️❤️❤️❤️ We've been thinking alot about this sweet boy and now we know he will be loved and happy! Whoooo hooo! Thank you so so so very much adoptors! Thank all of you who spread the word because it makes all the difference!

This beautiful golden eyed boy is stuck in the urgently full shelter. He's been there a couple months 😭Yoshi is a well mannered, sweet and fun 1 year old hound mix. He will definitely make a great family dog. Lets find Yoshi his forever home ASAP! Please, please spread the word!

Poor Yoshi was beat up on by a kennel mate (broken up quickly, unharmed) and he just hunched down so he wouldn't get hurt, there is not a mean bone in Yoshi's body. As a matter of fact I had this boy nose to nose with a stray cat with no issues! Yoshi knows the things too he sits, lays down and is great on leash. Yoshi is treat motivated to learn the rules of the roost. Yoshi was so excited just to get a roll in the leaves. It's the little things for shelter dogs, just look at his smile 🥰Yoshi is a really nice, medium boy (45 pounds) Yoshi aims to please his people too! He's a good boy in a tough place, let's get him out of there and into a loving home pretty please.
