This shelter crisis is hard, so very hard on the dogs, hard on rescues, shelters, networkers, volunteers and I know it's hard for you to watch and see us posting these precious souls who so desperately need our help. But hard creates passion and action from this Village. SO LET'S PLEASE HELP NYLA BECAUSE NYLA HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED IN THE CRITICALLY FULL SHELTER FOR 157 DAYS! 157 DAYS WITH NO ONE WANTING HER😭, LETS GET HER INTO A HOME! POOR GIRL!!

Nyla was loved before because she literally knows all the things. Nyla is smart, sweet and loves all people. This girl needs to get into a home ASAP and out of the crappy shelter. Nyla will fit into almost any home environment!

Nyla is beautiful, look at that face and her eyes. You can see the intelligence, excitement and hope. Mostly hope. Nyla knows all the things she does pull a bit on leash at first, she sits, she waits, she lays down, she shakes, she loads into cars and is an all around great dog. Nyla is very sweet and affectionate , she loves affection and attention. Nyla is medium energy and will need some walks, play and maybe even adventures! Wouldn't that be amazing. Nyla is good with other dogs, all people and I think I remember her being pretty interested in cats, she can be tested in the cat room.

Today was both a happy and bittersweet day! We pulled Maggie out of the critically full Shelter in May. She was skinny, had some Shelter illnesses and needed to be spayed. Maggie was an in house rescue for us and quickly became family and part of our pack. We contemplated keeping her (who needs more dogs lol) after a failed meet (the dog hated her). But along came Laura and Aaron wanting to add Maggie to thier family. They came to meet her and we knew Maggie would have the best life with them. With that said Maggie May has been ADOPTED ❤️❤️❤️

Like any foster you love them, you take care of thier medical needs, you work on behaviors and did I say love them? You prepare them for the best rest of thier lives and there is nothing more rewarding (after hours of tears). Happy life Maggie May, we love you so much good girl and I know your new family already does too. She has a new boy, a new mom and a new dog brother. They are on thier way home to Oregon now. Happy life baby girl!

🛑🛑🛑🛑CODE RED🛑🛑🛑🛑BAILEY ONLY HAS UNTIL THURSDAY 😭😭😭 PLEASE, PLEASE SAVE BAILEY GIRL!!! BUMP, BUMP, BUMP!

When you get a heartfelt plea from volunteers rallying for a beloved shelter dog who is euth listed you from experience can feel thier fear and anxiety 😭 Our fosters are full so we are coming to our village to help them save Bailey! Look at that face, she is absolutely precious 😍 LET'S HELP GET HER OUT OF THERE AND SAVE HER LIFE!

Bailey is in Merced, Ca and when she came in she was clearly abandoned, skinny and injured badly. She's all healed up now. What everyone loves about her is her joy, zest for life and the pure love that you can see in her eyes! See pictures and videos in comments.

Bailey is knows some basics she walks well on leash, she sits and redirects easily. She is goofy and sweet and affectionate. Bailey is dog friendly but no kitties for Bailey girl. Bailey is good with all people.

I AM SO SAD THERE IS NO INTEREST IN THIS BABY 😭 PLEASE BUMP FOR SWEET JAMES, HE NEEDS A FAMILY!

We are a community of animal loving humans so let's not allow puppies to grow up in shelters!
THIS INCREDIBLY SWEET, MILD MANNERED PUPPY IS JAMES! James is stuck in the critically full Shelter 😭 This beautiful baby needs a home ASAP! When these babies stay to long they don't get the love and guidance they need to thrive! ! LET'S NOT LET THAT HAPPEN TO JAMES, HES BEGGING US!

James is a sweet approx 5 month old Rottweiler (mix?) Puppy. He is scared, a bit quiet and has an absolutely lovely temperament. He does know some things so had a home. I'm not sure why I'm always shocked they end up in the Shelter but I am, poor sweetheart 💔 This puppy is a doll and will make a family incredibly happy!

James walks great on leash, he knows sit and this Angel face loves people. He also loved getting to roll in the grass and just be ok and be a puppy for a little while. He is incredibly sweet, smart and affectionate and aims to be with and please his people. James warmed up after a few minutes and started to get some grass zoomies, too cute! Let's please help James find his forever home ASAP!

James is good with other dogs, he is young enough to be trained around cats (you can test in cat room)and is good with all people.

James is an approx 5 month old Rottweiler (mix). James is approx 40 pounds. James is utd on vaccines and hw negative.

Little dog friends, go get Sully! Littles have a hard time in the scary overfull shelters! I definitely had to pick this baby up instead of walking him through kennel row, he was terrified 😭. Let's get Sully a home!

Sully is an approx 3 year old chihuahua (mix?) He's a little guy not sure of his weight but maybe 8 to 10lbs? You can size him in pictures. He's nervous there but very sweet and likes to be held. He is a great little leash walker and enjoyed his walk. He does know sit and maybe more but he was nervous. Sully is a sweet little guy who needs a forever home ASAP and out of the very scary shelter!

Sully is good with other dogs and has had multiple roomates. Unknown on cats but you can take him in the cat room, spending time with him I'll bet he doesn't care. He's good with all people.

ZERO INTEREST BUMP PLEASE 🙏

I FEEL SO BAD FOR THE SHELTER DOGS! When the world and our lives get crazy they sit there waiting for thier time in critically full Shelters with hope and love in thier eyes. Ford is one of those dogs, he has sat there for 100 days,100 days😭! Ford is a sweet boy, and our hope is he doesn't have to wait much longer, LETS HELP FORD!

Ford is another well behaved dog who ended up stuck in a shelter due to no fault of his own. Ford knows the things so he had a home once. Look at this boy's face with his beautifulgolden eyes, he's just happy to have attention and play with a stuffy. Ford will fit into literally almost any home environment

Ford walks great on leash, he sits, he lays down and he shakes. He is also playful and loves stuffies although he will play ball too. Ford is incredibly sweet and and affectionate and not over the top with it. He enjoys walks, play and humans. Look at the cute spots on his ears and some on his body. The Shelter is hard on them with 3 to a kennel so he can be protective over his food (me too buddy!) so something to watch for, it's many time easy to correct Shelter behavior. Ford is an easy boy who just needs a home if his own.

Ford is good with other dogs, he loves all people and looks to you for direction. Ford tested interested but non aggressive in the cat room.

Ford is an approx 2 year old beaitiful Pitbull/ lab cross? He weighs 53 pounds. Ford is nuetered, utd on vaccines and hw negative. Ford has a low adoption fee.

Those of us in Northern Ca have been incredibly stressed and devastated by the Park fire 😭 We are fairly close but safe and being diligent. Our thoughts are with all impacted.Thank you to all of the people/ communities for working together to save human and animal lives.

To take our minds off of our worries for a moment we would absolutely LOVE your opinion on our Aggies breed! We think Newfoundland? She is only 85 pounds but should and will be 100.
She had another vet appt Thursday and they removed one more embedded foxtail (that's 20!) And her ears are still a mess but she is on the mend ❤️ we will DNA her when off antibiotics! Thank you so very much for the support for her!

We pulled sweet Pru out of the critically full Shelter about 6 weeks ago into rescue where she was so terrified she would pancake crawl to people, poor baby! Well fast forward and Pru is a happy go lucky girl who is looking for her forever home.

Pru LOVES everyone and we mean everyone (see videos)! People, dogs and even cats. She will happily go wherever her people go. Although Pru is being fostered on a horse ranch she's not a working dog, she's a family dog. Pru will fit great into almost any home environment! She would make an amazing companion dog!

Pru loves riding in any vehicle and goes to feed the horses, it's her second favorite thing next to people ❤️
Pru also loves water and in these hot summer days you will find her in the pond or a water trough 🤣
Pru sits, comes, is house trained and crate trained. She is sweet, funny, isn't a fan of picture taking, loves to play with other dogs (lives with 5) and will happily just trot or ride along with her people.

Pru is an approx 2 year old Border collie and is approx 40 pounds.
Pru is spayed, chipped and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.

THE SWEETEST ANYA WAS ADOPTED TODAY ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ She has kids and a loving family who will take the time to ensure Anya has the best life ever! Shelly and family took thier time knowing she has some behaviors to correct to decide if she was thier girl and she absolutely is, they love her already .THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!

Not only that but Suzy came to meet Anya too and she adopted another at risk dog, thank you Suzy for coming for Anya and leaving with Cher!

My heart actually hurts 💔 to make this post because 🛑🛑ANYA IS URGENT!🛑🛑 Anya is just a baby at 11 months and she is a bubble of pure love! She has been in the critically full Shelter for 97 days. What people see when they walk by Anya in her kennel is a jumping, crying puppy who is literally begging for love and to be saved! She is the most joyful pup out of her kennel. We really URGENTLY need to help her! Watch her sweet videos too! PLEASE HELP!

This sweet girl takes a few minutes to wind down (me too Anya me too!) But once she does she is such a fun, sweet girl. She finds all the joy in life in an hour out of her kennel. She will make you smile and bring happiness into your home. She will fit into almost any home environment. Please meet Anya!

Anya loves, loves all people! She's got the little pittie love to give! She frog dogged in the grass and rolled around loving it so much! I dropped the leash because I knew this baby wasn't going anywhere without a human. Anya walks good on leash, she knows sit and down. She humored me by getting on picnic benches and rocks for these cutest pictures of her! She loves water and to be in the pool in the play yards and she loves toys but people more❤️. She is such a darling girl who so deserves a happy life!

Anya is good with other dogs, was interested but non aggressive in the cat room and loves all people. She's good with kids but in excitement may jump on littles, she easily corrects!

Thank you so so very much to all of you who donated to Agnes's medical fund so we could pull her into rescue and get her the care she needed and boy did she desperately need it!

She's had a very busy week poor girl! The first stop was at the Paw Spa & Salon curteousy of Nick and Nicole to get cleaned up. They did an incredible job (3.5 hours) and we know Aggie felt so much better!

She spent 2 days getting vet care so far. She had a full work up and body check. As we suspected both of her ears are badly infected, she was 25 pounds underweight (we've put on 8 so far!) and we were obviously very worried about the foxtails. The good news is luckily she is healthy in spite of the pure neglect this poor girl has endured.

Ok foxtails. She was already infected (armpit and toes) so she was too painful to probe on her first visit so she had 19 yes 19 foxtails removed today. Poor baby! They are not sure if anymore will pop up so we are watching closely and she obviously has follow up appointments. Meds on board will hopefully start getting sweet Aggie on the road to recovery! We are greatful for our vet for the care and to all those who loved on her the last couple days. Special thanks to her foster mama Rebecca, Aggie was so happy to be home!

We couldn't have done this without you so THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS.

We will update as Aggie progresses. BTW she is literally the sweetest dog ever 💓

This poor girl was getting more and more stressed each time we saw her so a friend stepped up and took Noel in for a few days and what a gem she is! Thank you so much Lorrie!!!! It takes a village so thank you to all of you who commented, shared and liked because it makes ALL the difference!

WE ARE SO VERY EXCITED FOR THIS UPDATE 7/19 BECAUSE AUTUMN WAS ON TRIAL AND TODAY SHE GOT ADOPTED BY HER FOSTERS!!!!!!! We are over the moon that Autumn will have a life and the life she so so deserves! Happy life baby girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️

You have to look at her video, I took it just a couple minutes in a yard and before our time out of there, she's excited just to have any attention at all.

Autumn has been so overlooked for likely multiple reasons; black dog syndrome and she's sick of being there so she jumps in her kennel. BUT she is so well behaved out of there! She came in with 4 sibling's who have all been adopted, she doesn't understand and either do we! She is a good girl in a rough place who desperately needs our help!

First she is just the sweetest thing and loves all people and wants a the hugs and pets. She also knows all the things! I had Autumn off leash for a bit and she just wants to be with her people. Autumn walks great on leash, she sits and lays down. Even after over 4 months she just wants to please her people and be loved. Autumn is a completely different dog out of the environment and was loved once. CAN someone please love Autumn!?

UPDATE 7/15 OH MY! The kitty's new family took him to the vet today to do a check up and schedule nueter. They scanned him for a chip and he had one. His family said he had been missing for months! I really hope it stays a feel good story and a loving family will keep him safely inside. His new family are both happy and sad. Thank you Sara, look at the good you did 🥰 Thank you so much!

We love cats, have had cats all our lives but we rarely rescue cats and aren't set up to do so. But every once in a while we get to help because of wonderful humans ❤️
We walk a park regularly exercising dogs that has multiple colonies in it. Luckily they are taken care of as much as they can be with so many dumped cats that end up birthing feral cats.
We have helped a couple clearly domesticated. For a while now this friendly cat who seems mostly by itself has been following all the people wanting love. It followed me and walked right up with zero fear to myself and 2 of the dogs (great cat test for Maggie(ready for adoption!)., Cassie doesn't care). I always feel so bad for it. Today I was walking dogs and I walked by and a couple with their young daughter were loving on the kitty, I said he's such a sweet cat. The husband replied my big hearted wife wants to bring him home and that was my opening 😁I said I'm a rescue and if you take the cat I will spay/ nueter it. Gave them the rescues name and said PM me if you do. Of course they looked at me like right, I said I promise. Well they took that kitty home! It's (still don't know if it's a male or female) eating, drinking, soaking up the attention and exhausted! Kitty will be altered as soon as they get an appt 🥰 one less dumped kitty even with hundreds is a win to us! Thank you Sara and family, your awesome humans ❤️

Due to your incredible generosity we were able to pull Aggie aka Agnes into rescue today! We cannot even begin to express our gratitude for the donations and concern you showed for Aggie.

We were also supported by Running Free Doggie Daycare (who we highly recommend btw!) who accepted Agnes into home boarding when I had no where for her to land, thank you to Nick and Nicole of Thrive and Anderson Automotive who always show up when needed and also are sponsoring a spa day for Aggie! And a HUGE thank you to my Rockstar small dog foster Rebecca Cileo who said I'll meet her and now has a not so small dog in her care 🤣

Aggie has a vet appointment to address her many foxtails 😭 her awful infected ears (hopefully no foxtails in them!) and a plan to get her healthy which includes needing at least 15 pounds.

What we do know is she's the sweetest dog who loves all people, gets along with dogs big and small and even cats.

We will be sure to share Aggies story so you can keep up with her progress!

PLEASE HELP US HELP HER!!!!

A rescue friend told me sometimes you have to take a leap of faith, so we are taking a big leap of faith for Agnes! Agnes needs us, we cannot help Agnes without the funds to pay for her medical care! If we receive the funds we will immediately pull her into rescue. She is skin and bones, has multiple foxtails and double ear infections. Agnes will NOT be able to get better in the critically full Shelter, she needs care now.

UPDATE 7/12 DEBRA SAVED MITCH'S LIFE TODAY BECAUSE SHE ADOPTED HIM!!!!!! The happiest tears for all of us who were rallying for him ❤️ It is no small feat these days to get an urgent dog saved but you did it, thank you all so much!
And to Debora Demoulins it restores the faith that good people want to take a chance on these throw away dogs, you are his guardian angel!

MITCH IS RUNNING OUT OF TIME! Mitch is stressed in the kennel environment (me too baby, me too!) and he needs to find his forever home quickly! Mitch is a good boy in a tough place, can we PLEASE help Mitch! Look at that sweet face with love in his eyes, he needs us NOW!

Mitch has been in the Shelter 125 days, no wonder this poor boy is stressed out in the kennel he wants out! When he is out of the environment he is able to decompress fairly quickly! He is sweet and waggy on outings. This boy had people before because he is a lover and knows the things. Mitch walks wonderfully on leash and recalls. Mitch sits, lays down and wants to please his handler. Mitch was so happy to get out of there I could feel his relief and when I sat down on a bench he just layed at my feet. Mitch is treat motivated to learn the rules of the roost. Please, please consider Mitch, he will make a wonderful family dog!

Mitch is good with other dogs, he has 2 roommates. Mitch was wary in the cat room(see pic) but that doesn't meant he won't chase. Mitch is good with all people, he did jump a couple times so watch small kiddos.

UPDATE 7/11!
A long term volunteer unexpectedly lost his best friend recently😭 He as expected was completely devastated. There was zero thought about another dog UNTIL HE MET MERCEDES❤️ He did the trial at home and there was no way he would let her stay in the overcrowded shelter! We definitely believe his girl sent Mercedes to him! Thank you Randy for opening up your heart to Mercedes!!!!

MERCEDES IS THE GENTLEST SOUL I'VE MET IN A VERY LONG TIME❤️
To meet her is to love her. She's not only a gentle soul but she is mild mannered and just a lovely girl! She is being overlooked and has been there almost 3 months, let's help Mercedes find her forever family!

Mercedes knows all the things she sits, she lays down, she walks well on leash and she shakes. But she mostly just wants to be loved. She's incredibly sweet and loving. She will gently put her paw on you to pet her while looking at you with those loving eyes. No jumping or running around crazy with this girl. Mercedes will be a great fit in almost any household. She just needs a fenced yard and lots of love. She is an absolute treasure.

Happy Independence day!

As we should be we celebrate our Independence and freedom today! With that said there are so many
shelter dogs that would like to do the same. But they can't without all of us!

Chanel is the dog in the middle of the picture, I love it because it shows her happy spirit ❤️

Chanel has been in the Shelter system 205 DAYS with zero interest! She has luckily been in foster for a couple months but her amazing fosters are going to have to return her to the shelter😭 PLEASE HELP SO THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN! We don't want this sweet souled dog to have her spirit crushed.

Chanel is a great dog. She is very dog social and gets along with dogs large and small. She loves all people and is good with little kids too. Chanel is housetrained, crate trained and is a happy playful girl. Chanel loves water, playing with other dogs and loving her people. As with every dog she has some manners that can be fined tuned but heck so do all of us 🤣 Chanel is a wonderful dog that deserves and desperately needs a forever home!

A good day to have good news ❤️

After 2 months in the care of two of our amazing fosters Roberta and Rebecca our sweet senior lab Shadow has been adopted!

We met this sweet 8 year old Lab when he found himself in the critically full Shelter and we just couldn't leave him there. It's hard enough on the young dogs. Shadow is the best behaved boy and both his fosters adored him. Fosters save lives so thank you endlessly.

His new mom Christine found us after loosing her 13 year old Lab and she just knew Shadow was the one to help mend her and her 10 year old dogs hearts 💕 Thank you for choosing Shadow we know he will be loved and cared for for the rest of his life!

Happiest life to you Sweet Shadow boy, you so so deserve it! We all love you 😍

Have you seen a more stunning face with those incredible blue eyes? Grady is a stunner and a really sweet boy! Adoptions are horribly slow with the heat and the 4th coming up, it breaks my heart to think of them in the overcrowded shelter in general but during excessive weather it's even harder on them. Grady is looking for his happily ever after! Let's help this boy, he sure needs us!

Grady is just another good boy just waiting for someone to notice him! Luckily some lovely humans decided to take Grady on a field trip and they gave excellent info on him! When I had him out he was a bit pully on leash but very responsive to corrections and asks.Grady is a lover, he loves people and attention. He doesn't seem to know alot of commands but he will sit eventually 🤣 He is an open book and very responsive to learning.

Grady is the sweetest boy! He’s not too sure about getting in the car and just wanted to sit on our laps. He tried a pup cup but wasn’t a huge fan. He let us put boots on his paws and after a few minutes was walking like a pro. He has the perfect temperament and is curious about the world around him. He’s Interested in dogs and people but quickly refocuses on his handler. He let us brush him, check his ears, touch his paws, and check his teeth without issue. He even met two young kids and stood at their feet while they pet him. He didn’t hesitate to get in the water and even left the ducks alone when they came close. He didn’t bark or growl but definitely knows how to turn on the charm with the occasional kisses and nose boops. He would be the perfect dog to take on adventures and be your best friend. 10/10 Highly recommend 👌🏼

Grady is good with other dogs, unknown on cats and great with all people including kids.
